Broken fan blade

Took tractor in last Friday. Estimate is $400 to replace fan blade.
Not filing under homeowners insurance unless repairs are greater than $800
Time to replace the dealer.

They were able to get it done today.
Price is high but the part itself is $190.

Wow. Freak accident. Glad you got it fixed for less than $200.

I had some brush remove the oil dipstick on my Gravely once. Saw it happen and retrieved the dipstick. Turned it to have the "O" top of the dipstick up against the block.

That’s a pretty fair price if it included the fan, tax and labor to install it.

I'm certainly missing something here. Installation looks like 4 bolts. Is there that much sheet metal to move ? And you said there were aftermarket possibilities in the $50 to $100 range... I guess it is impossible to get anything done these days without spending hundreds of dollars.

Have to remove a few other parts (maybe radiator?). The only Utube video I saw was on a L3301 and it took the guy about 2 hrs.

$400 included parts/labor.

The dealer isn’t going to use the aftermarket fan, they’re going to use the OEM that cost $190. While I’d install it myself $200 doesn’t seem unreasonable to have the dealer do it.
