I think they all always agree to their pay raises.A day to go down in history, all 100 senators actually agreed on something!
I found a way around that snow removal in the mornings.... I don't do it. It used to be required if you wanted to get out of the driveway, especially if the plow went by. However, we haven't had enough snow to require it in about a decade. I have 4wd in the Suburban, and the wife works from home now. The mother in-law is retired. So no one needs to get out of their houses anymore, so any shoveling/plowing that has to be done now waits until I get home from work. If they keep DST, I'll even have some sunlight after work to do it VS turning on the tractor lights. One issue might be losing 1 hour of daylight in the morning for snow removal before kids and adults leave in the morning. The plows would just have to run lights more. Way back when we did an experiment and went DST all year and people DIDN'T like it. Interesting article:
The US Tried Permanent Daylight Saving Time in the '70s. People Hated It | Washingtonian (DC)
No. The senate passed the bill to make DST permanent year round.Looks like the Senate passed a bill to get rid of Daylight savings. Next onto the House and Biden.
What you think is it real this time, is DST gone for good?
Looks like if it passes it will not take effect until Nov 2023.
What will I do without my extra hour of sleep in November.![]()
Yes, I realize that. My mistake.No. The senate passed the bill to make DST permanent year round.
Just goes to show you dairy farmers were looking for off-farm income 40-50 years ago.
