41 going to 57. Wind was fierce yesterday but dropping off now. BEF, we got about a quarter inch, too.

So sorry your evening turned into an ordeal for your wife, Check. Prayers for her recovery.

Kyle, sorry your rod busted. I never would have known a new one from the dealer would cost so much.

Buppies, I hope you can get a nap. This weekend and next are the Highland County Maple Syrup Festival. We haven't been in a number of years.

Had a problem late yesterday with my cheap little notebook computer dedicated to my coffee roasting during roaster preheat...does not start up correctly...allows me to open an app, but not click on anything. Tried to troubleshoot using HP website, then with the Costco Concierge service...this morning I will try You Tube...then send it up to BEF 😁.

29 right now...high in the mid-30's today. We got a dusting of snow last night and the forecast is for snow showers today.

Got a UTI, painful to urinate. Had this before and it's pretty miserable...
Hopefully, it'll pass in a day or two. If not, I'll have to go to a urologist

Good Morning.
36 outside, supposed to make it over 40. Partly cloudy and rain tonight.
Front came through last night, gusts to 40kts, 1/4” of rain in a short time. High rain rate was almost 4” per hour. Saw some distant lightning.

Yesterday was used up by prepping for todays visit to the FAA. We are bringing them a plane for them to “conform” which is the process of them verifying that it matches its paperwork and is fully compliant with all applicable regulations. This has to be done before we can put paying passengers in it.

Today will be consumed by the actual inspection and inquisition. I’m looking forward to seeing this completed.

I’m also looking forward to the ground drying up, I’ve got a new grapple and Stihl MS261C that I need to put to work.

It was interesting to hear Drew refer to “little old ladies” when at our age the world sees us as old men.

   / Good morning!!!! #146,906
When were we first observed to be old men?

Hope you get better real soon Roy

   / Good morning!!!! #146,907
both of these lovely ladies are in their mid 90's.
since I have to go to Newtown on church banking business I'll swing by the chocolate candy store in Newtown.
Might pick out a small variety for each for pre-Easter. My MIL loves chocolate candies...

Morning all, 47 and windy. Lost power last night , but it's back up now.
Wife said trees down blocking multiple roads completely-More Ash
Generator still works well but is starting to look ragged...

Fox was at end of road, when we walked towards it, it moved away and into the woods. Happy about that as it followed us the other day and I wanted to test and make sure it is still wary of dog/human. Probably back by it's baby (s?) now. No pictures, it stays about 30-50 feet away.

Kyle-sorry to hear about the rod snap. And now a new gauge to buy, but you did get one fixed so cost only 50% of what it could be for the rods.

Check- that is bad news, but broken arm better than some other options-hope the break isn't too complicated and she heals well and quickly.

stay safe and be well,

Check, my wife and I can relate with your wife. First me for slipping and falling on ice and my wife for breaking her arms and having to get a steel plate. Hope she can get it all set and the healing can start.

Kyle, hope you can locate a new rod.

Good morning! 39˚F, trace of rain (less than .01) FireWise canceled because of dismal weather. That is fine with me as a dental appointment was going to cancel my involvement anyways.

Good morning! 32° now, may struggle to 42° later. We had windows open over the weekend, now I stoked up the wood burner. Welcome to Ohio in March!

Making flash drives for the service school. That pretty well seizes up my computer transferring all those files. This will be the last service school I do. I have put a huge amount of effort into making sure we have good technical information, I am not seeing any effort being made to make sure someone takes over those duties. One of the "rocket scientist's" I work with has sent an email asking if I was going to maintain that information when I was retired. 🤦‍♂️ All because he is too lazy and lacks the knowledge himself.

@Kyle_in_Tex. did you check Surplus Center? They sell loader cylinders and a lot of those loaders for tractors are fairly "universal" with cylinders. Shame the 2nd rod repair went so pear shaped.

I have a canopy on order for my New Holland. Original Tractor Cab has a small canopy that will fit. I looked at a lot of canopies, most were too large for my tractor. Getting caught in the rain on Sunday was the final straw!

Hope your wife's arm heals ok Check. Kind of screws up the start of spring.

Looks like we are going to adopt a young cat. She was dropped off by someone, she ended up with a rescue. She is at the vet now and we will know later if it is good to go. The local rescue has been trying to find her owner for several weeks and finally caught her. Will post a pic if it is a go.

Well, better wander off and do something semi-useful

Everyone stay safe out there!

it's funny, really is a generational thing.
See how many young folks hold open doors, particularly when getting in cars.
Seems to me every door held open is a small kindness and this
world sure needs more kindness now

Rich, I'm sure your rocket scientist really appreciates what you do for him, and keeping up
all the updates shouldn't be too hard and btw Rich, could you come in every Friday for him so
he can have a long weekend?... :) ;)

Check, prayers for wife recovery.

Highland county is a nice area, but a little too far off the beaten path to retire there.

My cell camera lithium batteries died after 2 months. New ones in. Didn’t get it aimed good and got a few hundred pictures of trucks driving by on the road. Didn’t seem to pick up cars going by.

Wngsprd, still don’t have the church computer sound working right. It has sound until you plug in an hdmi cable, then it disables all sound. If you unplug the hdmi, no sound but eventually it does work again.
Dell has been no help.

Run updates. I have found my computers to exhibit that behavior when there are updates it wants. And sometimes there are multiple, and they update sequentially. Several reboots in between sometimes.

67°F and no rain

Continuation of slow progress in caretaker unit. Looking good.

Sophie got her prescription so that regimen has started.

Congrats on getting flail done, Doug 🤙

GM has become quite the pictorial travelogue. Thanks.

Drew, anxious to see those boxes overflowing with produce.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

27°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 45° today. Some snow expected Thursday night and Friday, then back into the 60s and 70s next week.

Sorry about your wife's fall, check. Hope she heals quickly.

Had an entertaining door holding experience many years ago, Drew, in a mall parking lot. My first wife and I were getting into our car just ahead of a young couple parked next to us. Naturally, I opened the car door for my wife, as always. The other couple got to their car, and as the girl stood waiting, the guy just walked around and got into the driver's side. She stood there and sighed. When I walked around our car, I said, "Excuse me, miss" and opened her door for her. The guy sat there with a look on his face like 'what the heck is going on here". The girl gave me a sweet smile and a soft "thank you" as she got in his car. When I got in the car, my wife looked at me and giggled and said, "Boy, you just wrecked that relationship," to which I replied, "No I didn't, he did." It's such a simple gesture. I continue to be amazed at the number of men who don't do this.

GM has become quite the pictorial travelogue. Thanks.

I was going thru a picture from the states in alphabetical order, but got to Idaho, and stopped since I haven’t been there yet.

My next state is IL. A picture of the tomb of my wife’s cousin. Visited there in 2013, then went down old Rt 66 before crossing into St Louis.

One thing I remember about entering Illinois from Indiana was over 10 state troopers in the first 3-4 miles. They take their revenue collecting seriously.
