Kioti Broken in Half

Now I know why the Bulldog 285 aftermarket bucket on my Yanmar YM2310 is so small. I'm gonna make an extension but it will be for light loads and built that way. I would hate to break my tractor.

Many moons ago a friend broke his NH1720 in half when he hand loaded crushed rock into the bucket which overloaded it. Hit a bump carrying the stone to its destination and BAM he had two halves. I assume it was an over sized bucket intended for mulch, etc.

At the time I was just getting into CUT's so I didn't really quiz him on the details. Plus he was not all that keen to talk about it or the cost of the repair!

This thread is an eye-opener for me, and has been very instructive. This is the first time I ever see such a tractor failure as this. Apparently it does happen more often than I was aware, and i will always show common sense when moving heavy loads.

I did Google, and try to find more cases of tractors breaking in half, but unfortunately all I got was thousands of repairs occuring by "splitting" a tractor in half.

Tractors were never meant to have a loader on.
That is true in their initial design 80 years ago. Big high horse power farm tractors don't have loaders, but people have been putting loaders on tractors for decades and all CUTs are engineered with the understanding that a loaders is going to be part of the package. If they weren't meant to have loaders all the loaders out there would be aftermarket not brand name.

Many/most loaders aren't made by the tractor manufacturer..

No they are made under contract for the manufacturer, just like most tractors are also made under contract for the manufacturer, so what is your point?
Exactly what I said.

Exactly what I said.
Just because a tractor manufacturer doesn't make the tractors and the loaders in the same plant does not mean the manufactured be it Kubota, John Deere, New Holland, did not design the tractor to have and use a loader.
