We are jabbed. Moderna was 1/2 dose of original and J&J was same dosage as original.

   / Good morning!!!! #140,543
Will you also get the booster or a full dose 4th jab? How is it determined if you need a fourth dose?

“Out of the 11 million immunocompromised people in this country, some of them were fine with two doses,” Segev said. “Some of them were not fine with three doses. Some of them do need a fourth dose.”

My understanding is that it’s likely a fourth dose will be recommended.

generator whining away for last hour. Tree fell at end of private lane next to me, tripped circuit breaker on pole so six houses, including me,
out of power. I waited half an hour and then fired up gen. It needs to run anyway; funny I ran it earlier today just for maintenance.
PECO supv said truck on way, will be fixed tonight, whatever that means.

How much use does the Rav4 get, Paul? Modern cars will drain a battery in as little as a week unless they're kept on a charger. And taking more than 20% out of a lead acid battery before recharging is a great way to kill it.

The car gets driven almost every day. I’ve measured the residual draw and it’s minuscule. Charging system is steady at 13.9~14 volts.
I have a lot of “Battery Minder” brand pulse chargers/maintainers and get great battery life out of everything except the RAV4. But the RAV Is used all the time so isn’t on a maintainer.

We had a couple of power outages last night, long enough for the generator to start and transfer, but none as long as 10 minutes. Hopefully Drew will get his power back soon, but it’s good for the generator to get a good run. Drew is it running on LP or gasoline?

if power stays on. Sure miss my automatic system

So I worked on the sickle bar cutter most of the day. My son says he doesn't remember ever me using it, so it has been a long time since I trimmed the edge of the pond. I got it done today but the clumps are still in place along the banks because it was over 2 ft high in most places. It will die down with winter and I'll shred it to bits later on.

52F and cloudy @ 21:00, headed down to a low of 50F overnight.

Was going to blow the leaves off the lawn down here around the house, was still too wet so I'll give it a day or two.

Got more plants in the ground instead: all 4 Ajuga "Black Scallop", 3 more Coral Bells, and 1 Salvia.

Also put in all 20 driveway markers, could use more ... need to check and see if Menards still has any in stock.

Hopper feeder did not need refilled yet.

Had third meal of Woman's curry chicken noodle soup. She brought me home a bowl of broccoli and cheddar from Panera's ... was too full to eat it. So ... Midnight Snack ... :giggle:

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)

Coffee just finished brewing. 46° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 56° with slight chance of some sun this morning. Helped neighbor make some light mounting brackets for his tractor yesterday. Good day for that type of project. It drizzled all day. Going to do a small Birthday party for Son and his Wife today. May get enough dry to get drone out for some pictures of the fall colored trees around my place.
I am so wet. Even running will not dry me off.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
quiet Sunday planned, church, then foodshopping on way home.
Out of power for over four hours yesterday, I watched them throw the breaker back on at the top of the electric
pole with a super long orange pole, and finally power back on.
Likely one more dead ash tree crashing down through the wires. It was past me on the line but the break threw the breaker on the pole
and six homes went dark.

poor neighbors next to me had big halloween party for their kids until sometime in the evening; they were prepared, I could hear a small gen going from their place.
I think the party went on longer than planned since their private lane was totally blocked by two PECO boom trucks.

48 high of 61 today think I’ll go back to sleep

   / Good morning!!!! #140,557
Good Morning.
It’s 50 with a forecast high of 60 for today, slight chance of rain.
Dense fog here now, but I suspect it is patchy and localized.

Yesterday was another putter around day. I cleaned the sticks up around the buildings and driveway, and saw there’s still a lot of leaves on the trees. That made think that I should go back to the shed to check out the big little wonder blower to check the oil and air the tires up so it’s ready when the time comes. The hand held Stihl did a fine job for now.
While I was in the shed, I noticed a few more chores. I saw the container of cold flow additive, and figured the the fill up of the diesel tank a few weeks ago is probably going to last through the winter, so measured out the correct amount and added it, then put the nozzle into the tank filler and ran the pump for about 10 minutes to mix it up.
Then I noticed the 25kw PTO generator which is my backup to the standby system and couldn’t remember the last time that it was spun up. It was too wet out to get tractor to the shed without making a mess, but it’s on my to do list to pull it out, put a load on it and run it for a while.
When I came back to the shop after that distraction, youngest son’s car was parked out front, so I had a nice visit with him and his fiancé. We all went down to oldest son‘s to check on the progress of his massive kitchen remodel, that was started back in July or so, just got all the soapstone countertops installed Friday. There is still a long way to go, but at least it’s all going in the right direction.
We ended up all going out to lunch, both boys, their SO’s and grandson, which was a fun time. Daughter is doing contract nursing and was in the other end of the state, wife was at a farmer’s market peddling alpaca goods, but we still had a quorum.

After that, went back into the shop and continued cleaning up, spent some time at the computer mixing the last song we worked on Friday. By then, I’d pretty well killed the day.

Plans for today...not sure yet.

Enjoy your day all.

48F, wet, and cloudy @ 08:00. Heading up to a high of 59F supposedly, with winds out of the west at 10 - 20 mph. Sun supposed to make an appearance later.

Leaf clean up unlikely (still too wet) ... unless the sun comes out fairly early and the winds persist. More likely for tomorrow I'd guess.

Grass continues to grow but more slowly. Likely will need cut again in a few days, might be the last time this year.

Might get oil and filter changed in the Cub later when the pavement dries up.

Housecleaning and other inside work early, probably followed by more planting later.

Yesterday's colors (full resolution):
