Good Morning!!!! 65F @ 4AM. Mainly sunny. High 84F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph.
Beautiful day yesterday, in spite of the wind and the Red Flag Warning. Temps were low enough that jeans felt better than shorts, and the air remained crystal clear.
I like my Bosch corded tools, Drew. Their carbide tipped masonry drills are the best and their blades aren't bad either, but I try to stick with Lenox bi-metal when I can.
Got a call from someone that said they were from the county health department, inviting me to come down for a CV19 vaccine shot. I inquired about the Moderna booster, but she had no info. Sounds like they're just calling everyone, without first checking if they've already been vaccinated. Maybe they don't have access to those records because of HEPA? County supervisors met yesterday to consider a new mask mandate to help slow the spread of CoVid, but deferred to the health department instead. News story on TV showed residents speaking at the meeting, and it looked like half were for, half against, any kind of mandate. Number of hospital admissions is down very slightly, but ICU bed availability is still very tight.
Tire mounting went smoother than expected yesterday. One was tubed, and always takes more time fiddling with the valve stem, especially with the very stiff sidewalls on the dual sport tires. The other was tubeless and had me wondering if I should convert the other over, but relacing to the proper rims would be quite costly. Maybe I should start playing the lottery?
Looks like it's cooling off enough to start thinking about a few painting projects here. I picked up a larger tank for the white bike last month, so ordered materials for it. Pump house trim needs painting, as does the very rusty 5x8 utility trailer, and then there's the body stripe on the van. All they're waiting on is me to get a Round Tuit.
Happy Hump Day, folks!
