How to remove this fuel filter?

Those 90 degree fittings are an annoyance. I'd use these or something like them. You might be able to span around the hose on one side or the other. Hand tight when you go back together.

Yes - something like RickB suggests or a VERY large set of channel locks that will span over one of the hoses and not damage it. Small little turns - one knurl at a time.

Shut the fuel valve off, remove the fuel hose on the shut off side, and gently use channel locks over a folded rag, so the teeth don,t mark it. Finger tight should be tight enough when putting it back together.

You better be ready for a spill if you remove the hose from that side. That's why the shut off valve is there. ;)

I made a short video on the screwdriver technique. Hope this helps.

Remove the right side hose first, It is down stream so will need to be bled anyway.
That will allow U much better access.
As said close the shut off valve first or there will be major fuel flow.
Larger water pump pliers would grip now or dull flat blade screw driver against the knobs on the ring with light tapping.
No matter what method used there will some fuel spill.
PS, I keep a dedicated pair of HD rubber gloves for that kind of job.

I guess I should have worded my response differently, to make it very clear for those that cann,t figure out which side won,t leak fuel once the shut-off has been turned. If the OP cann,t figure out which hose to remove, probably time to call in expensive help to figure it out for him. Around here, you,re probably looking at 100 bucks an hour.

If YOU can't figure out which hose to remove don't give specific info that is wrong. The OP would have had a 50-50 chance without being led in the wrong direction.

I would be afraid of the screwdriver slipping and possibly damaging something. I have a large pair of channel locks that I would try first.
