Did you miss the move to Texas, Germany and China.Just buy a Prius and let others live on the bleading edge of technology. Tesla made the mistake of manufacturing in California and will be bankrupt in less than 15 years. The larger auto makers will buy the scraps.
Never ceases to amaze me how these “all electric” folks still don’t understand that increased fossil fuels will need to be burned to provide increased electricity for their green, virtue signaling lifestylesAll-Electric Future Comes At A Huge Cost | OilPrice.com
It's a good thing that some are looking at the big picture.
Maybe a little PR work by the nuclear industry?Never ceases to amaze me how these “all electric” folks still don’t understand that increased fossil fuels will need to be burned to provide increased electricity for their green, virtue signaling lifestyles
What should have been done FIRST is making the source of the power generation green, THEN make the end users appliances and cars electric.
THAT would be closer to “green“.

We don't have an EV and hopefully never will. The robot does the filling and shutting of the pump. I am guessing you do not have a home connection for charging your EV yet.
That's just dumb. A software tweak would fix that. I was thinking regen from towing meant you would arrive at your campsite with a fully charged EV battery, ready to explore. From the Tesla website:
"Use a flatbed trailer only. Do not TOW! "
From the Chevy Bolt owner's manual:
"If the vehicle is towed with all four wheels on the ground, the drivetrain components could be damaged. The repairs would not be covered by the vehicle warranty. Do not tow the vehicle with all four wheels on the ground."
The inconvenience of public charging stations is why I think EV ownership will be spearheaded by homeowners. Renters can take the bus.The robot does the filling and shutting of the pump. I am guessing you do not have a home connection for charging your EV yet.

Like the last 100 years? The oil industry is definitely thinking ahead. They should be able to block alternative energy sources indefinitely.
That is a BEAUTIFUL VIEW !As a teenager I ran car on fumes...always running out of gas. Then I got smart and never let it go much below 1/4.
There are gas stations most places every few miles...not so with charging stations. I know this argument has been beat to death but of course charging stations will be everywhere in 10 years...along with power line towers everywhere and $Billions of taxpayer money and higher electric bills.
This view from my horse stable down to the barn won't look like this now since mountains will be clear cut, towers installed.
Try charging an electric car/truck in 5 minutes like I can with fuel. View attachment 710975

281 HP...You must have quite a golf cart! My snowsled's only 55, and that's enough for me.For my golf cart!
18 holes in before coffee with 281 HP in the cart.281 HP...You must have quite a golf cart! My snowsled's only 55, and that's enough for me.
I don't understand. The EVSE is always controlled by the EV, whether a robot made the connection or not.The EVSE is the robot I was talking about. It is just a computerized switch controlled by the EV.
I agree, most are bat**** crazy. Of course not me, but then again I'm not a "save the world with EV." I simply decided I'd rather have a Model S than a Corvette or Porsche.Never ceases to amaze me how these “all electric” folks still don’t understand that increased fossil fuels will need to be burned to provide increased electricity for their green, virtue signaling lifestyles![]()
However you are practicing the same sort of self-disillusionment. A Tesla Model 3 powered 100% by coal-fired electricity is as "green" as a 50 MPG Prius on gasoline. But the Tesla requires no effort to change to hydro, solar, nuclear, natural gas, oil, or unicorn tears. The Prius requires great effort to dilute gasoline only 10% with questionable benefit of ethanol. What should have been done FIRST is making the source of the power generation green, THEN make the end users appliances and cars electric.

I don't think a software tweak is needed at all. Just put the car in Drive and pull it. It won't know it is not going downhill while regeneratively charging the battery. That's just dumb. A software tweak would fix that. I was thinking regen from towing meant you would arrive at your campsite with a fully charged EV battery, ready to explore.
