I think ebay takes 10%.
With gas up over 3$/gallon, the deal breaker for this may have been the 454 engine. It's too bad, because it is a nice vehicle. Had it been a pickup with similar setup it would have gone for more money... because I would have been bidding up the price.

The Suburban E-Bay auction failed,.... with a non paying bidder!
Sold it locally today to a 65 year old excavating contractor.
He plans to use it to drive to motorcycle meets, pulling a trailer, and carrying some friends along as well.
He paid me $9,500, and was absolutely ecstatic to get it.
I am kinda sad,..... but it needed to go.
I paid $8,300, with 100K miles, when I bought it 14 years ago, and only drove it for 37,000 more miles.
Originally came from Texas, where it is often referred to as a "South Texas Cadillac".
Such a great vehicle!

Once I looked into the dimensions and knew it wouldn't fit in my garage, there was no reason to go further.
