took my propane tank to TSC to refill, 30 pounder and it actually only needed less than half a tank.
The tank is of course a little larger than a 20 pounder and after all these years pretty much know what an
empty one of those feels like. Nice part about TSC is they only charge by the gallon and not a flat fee.

Ate my first donut peach today. Very sweet and tiny pit in center, I'll buy more from local orchard.
Ted, wish I could send you a bag of them.

Happy Birthday Ken. Hope you had a fun trip to Key West. A lot of things there didn't surprise me after growing
up in New Hope. Very nice place, just so far to drive to.

Got a couple hours with the flail. Very, very wet, had to alter my plan so as to not make a mess.

Second mudding in the caretaker bathroom.

Only got about half the Brussel sprout to try in air fryer. Sophie wanted to make her usual with bacon as well.

63F and clear @ 23:30, headed down to 56F in the overnight. High reached 80F today.

Refilled hopper feeder.

Got a good amount of spraying done but only used about 1/2 of the 25G tank.

Then Woman fixed a quick lunch of two grilled cheese sandwiches.

After that doctors appointment. Nurse decided he wanted to recheck my blood pressure after the first go round - was only 85/58. Managed to get it up on the second try to 99/60 ...

After I got home tried to spray some more but pump wasn't coming on, will check into it tomorrow.

Glued up a little more pvc, third watering rig almost finished.

Watered garden.

Located ratchet straps and got 65 gallon leg tank secured to pallet.

Fed Woman's fish upstairs and then fixed myself a sandwich from what was left of the Woman's fried chicken breast from a couple of days ago and watched some of the Olympics.

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)

56° right now...high in the upper 70's...

Well, after close to 48 hours awake, slept like a baby most of last night...being awake for that long wasn't too bad, except for a handful of times I almost lost it.

I'd written (in a previous post) about my Tacoma's hood release wasn't releasing the hood. As my usual custom, I stopped at the quickstop on the way in yesterday and when I got out of the truck, I saw the hood had popped open (still latched though). That was a pleasant surprise! Since the release was now working, I sprayed the latch, catches and other components with a liberal shot of PB Blaster. I need to replace a high beam (which I have). I'll do that when I get home this afternoon (was too beat yesterday)

Fuddy, great pics!! Thanks for posting!. That part of Virginia is a favorite of mine...

Interesting. At the bottom of the page it says 2021 and cites the Transportation code sections. There is not much in that law than can be an an opinion and it should be state wide. It's a mystery. When I took my mom they went exactly by the book - in person, vision test and over 85 good for 2 years only (and she had to produce a birth certificate).
Yep, it's a mystery to me, too, Don. I DID have to take my birth certificate, so they sure knew (or should have known) my age. Two employees there looked it over BEFORE the one who did the actual renewal, and she looked at it, too. AND she had my old driver's license as well.

Is there any possibility that your driving record is taken into consideration? I sure didn't think so, but my last traffic ticket was when I was 23 years old; 58 years ago and a year before I became a police officer. I also supervised the department's safety officers at one time. And the last accident I was even involved in was when I was rear ended by a young lady on a downhill slope on a rain slick street about 17 years ago. Even with some high speed chases that ended with the vehicles I was chasing crashing, I was never involved in the crash.

Yep, I'm proud of my record and figure I'm as good a driver as I've ever known.🤣 But every time I get behind the wheel, I figure today may be the time I crash again. I figure anyone who says he won't have an accident is kidding himself.

And the only reason I went into the new DPS office last week to start with was to see what it was like because my daughter has had so many problems getting appointments in another city for my granddaughter to get her license. So today is the granddaughter's birthday; she's 17 and hopes to finally get her license today at this new DPS office.

First cup of coffee is cooling. 53° with fair skies this morning. Heading to 81° with mostly sunny skies. Got trimming and garden pond maintenance done yesterday. It was so nice out that I put Flail mower on tractor and mowed side and back fields. Will go out later today and clean up areas where I missed.
Always something to take a picture of from my yard.

Fuddy, great pictures.

Good morning all.

Last night we had just sat down after tea to enjoy a cup of coffee when I noticed sheep at the top of the shed field. Not an unusual sight, except I had shut them out earlier to do some spraying.
Jumped in car to drive up and see what was going on. What the *!@K

That's the last time I let sheep watch the Olympic weightlifting. :giggle:

65 going to 78, then high 50s tonight...my kind of August.

Ron, cool seeing hot air balloon.

Good morning! One of the coolest mid Summer mornings at 70˚F mostly clear skies heading to 90.
With the .75" rain we had Monday the grass took off making this a mow day as soon as the dew evaporates.

The two 5 game card session this week were extreme - one I lost 4, one I won 4.
Optional activities today include seat time and pool time, garden time.

Eric, did the sheep lift the gate off the hinges?

Bird, My mom has no tickets so the mystery continues. If you go with your granddaughter to get her license I would not ask them to solve the mystery - you might get your 9.5 year expiration date changed.

Good morning.
It’s 60 going to upper 70’s with partly cloudy skies and no rain today.

Yesterday was the same weather as today, got all the mowing done with my grandson on my lap. He hears the tractor and gets his mother to bring him up to help. Picked up some Baltic birch plywood for the speakers I’ll be working on today. It’s now $100 a sheet. It didn’t go up when the commodity sheet lumber did, now that stuff is coming down and the Birch skyrockets, go figure.

When I finished mowing and brought my grandson home, I stopped in to see how the flooring was going. It looks pretty good.
It’s interesting as the layers of the onion are peeled back and see the various changes and updates to the 200+ year old farm house as it reverts back to rustic.

This morning, I’ll pick up son at the GMC dealer as he drops his truck off for inspection. Then back to the shop to cut up the golden sheets of birch and turn them into speaker cabinets.
