They'd be state run like they are now. I'd bet it would take a lot more than 15,000 worker, though. Indiana's employs over 500 from what I can see. And it's only 1 road 157 miles long. There's talk of making I70 a toll road. It cuts across the middle of the state. Probably the same length as 80/90 in Indiana. So there's another 500. Make I69 and I65 into toll roads in Indiana and that's another probably 500 miles, so another 1500 people. So right there that would be what, about 2000 just in Indiana. Yikes!

Absolutely not.
That office space doesn’t comply with current office space standards. There’s no heated & cooled office chairs, no parking garage and the electrical power source isn’t green in those buildings.

Around here we already have jobs that aren't being filled. Signs are all over looking for help. People are working overtime because they can't find enough workers. Why do we need to print more money when jobs are available but not being filled.Job creation !, make it part of infrastructure spending.

Yes we do, but another couple buildings full of thousands of administration employees to administer turnpike toll collections as Moss suggested hardly qualifies as “private contractor jobs to fix up our country”.
Its just additional tax burdens.

To be clear, the majority of jobs on our toll road are maintenance jobs, not admin.

But if most other states do same (toll roads) there could be 10’s of thousands of turnpike administration jobs.

Missouri Highway Dept. wanted I-70 to be a toll road. Fee would be $50 for cars driving from STL to KC and $100 for trucks. Money would go to “needed highway repairs”.
Went to a vote. Lost. Went to another vote. Lost.
Then Highway Dept. said OK, it’s clear the voters of MO do not want toll roads.
But, ha ha ha, no vote is need if we sold I-70 to a private company who would then charge tolls and do all the maintenance. The guy actually said that (without the ha ha ha).
Well, he was chastised as the Legislature gently reminded him (a) neither he or the Highway Dept. actually owns I-70 in MO and can’t sell it to anyone and (b) he may not care what the voters say but the legislature does.
You can’t make up this stuff.
