Diesel has been cheaper than gas here in northern Nevada for at least a year. But regular gas is running ~ $3.30 a gallon.

Off-road is a little cheaper than gas around here, but undyed diesel is quite a bit more. Regular ranges $2.89-3.05. Irving and the no-brand mom & pop places seem to be the cheapest.

I was just in Oklahoma this morning around 10:30am. Gas there was $2.59.

Got to Indiana around 9:00pm and gas was $2.75. That's when I noticed the diesel was $3.19.

I thought the pipeline debacle jacked prices up in the east. I guess they came down already. $2.89 here.

We are at $1.20...a Litre...thats about $4.80/gal

Paid $3.29/gallon yesterday
That’s $1.10 more than 8 months ago ($2.19)
50% increase in 8 months
Dont tell me it’s “seasonal” or “supply/demand” anymore.

I don't know who is creating this situation but I wish they would stop. Regular gas is $3.30 here. Diesel - $3.43.

Are Indiana gas taxes higher than OK? Often, that explains the differences.

STL gas is always about $.20/gallon less than right across the river in Illinois. Due to higher gas taxes.

I think it might have to do with the number of petroleum pipelines running through OK... :ROFLMAO:

In Western Illinois diesel has at times been cheaper the 87 octane gas off and on the last several months. The last couple of weeks the diesel has been cheaper by 10 to 20 cents less.

So..... one of the cost factors for WA state - no pipelines for distribution. Because our in-state refineries product 50% more than we can consume. Our refineries export to - BC, Oregon and Calif.

Doesn't seem like "supply/demand" is a very important factor in this market.

California has their own refineries. Oregon and Idaho have none. I think almost all of our gas comes from Anacortes, and the crude comes from Alaska. I hear the North Slope wells are petering out. I don't pay much attention. Years ago I got used to paying $0.50/gallon more than the other side of the Rockies. $3.23 here for regular at the local truck stop.
