Something like this will greatly help with pulling the old seals
https://www.amazon.com/QWORK-Puller...uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl

Other than that, a socket and dead blow for seating the new seals will help.

If I cant get the hub assembly to my hydraulic press, for pressing bearings and races, I use a brass punch and hammer. The brass doesn't gouge anything. But that's for driving bearings and races if I need to and cannot use the press.

I have a grapple coming in a couple weeks, so I ordered a 2x2 piece of flattened expanded steel from McMaster and made up a grill guard.

I just happened to have some 1” square tube that fit perfectly in the slots in the factory push bar.

I used the small Lincoln 220v mig welder with .023 wire to glue it up.

I had read somewhere that Rustoliem “sail blue” was a good match for the LS, so I ordered a couple cans from Amazon since I could not find it at my local hardware stores. It did not match as well as I had hoped.

Overall, I am very happy with it. While I do not intend to use the grapple for moving brush, since I do not have enough trees, I figure that the one time I try to grab some sagebrush, with my luck I would get a stick through the radiator.

Really nice work!

Same here, I'm trying to figure out a weld-free option.
What thickness did you go with?
McMaster-Carr

I used the .120 thickness flattened expanded wire. It is a little more expensive, but it is nice to work with without the cheese grater feel to it.

Click the flattened filter on the left of that page, then it’s the thickest carbon steel stuff listed (at the bottom). Some of the thinner oddball sizes are actually more expensive.

Nice work .. you won't regret building it.

Nice job on the grill guard! Safety blue is the closest match to LS. Very hard to tell the difference unless original paint is faded.

Not sure if all the LS dealers have it, but mine provided an aerosol can of LS touch up paint.... I believe it has a part number on it.

Yep, Safety Blue is "close". When I took my grill guard off to modify it, I first stopped by a Sherwin-Willams paint store, had them scan it, and bought a quart of enamel.

John gave me a can of the LS too.

If you go to a Sherwin Williams store and any other place that can mix paint they should only need the Munsell number.

Acrylic urethane 10b 4/10

Used my MT125 to unload a safe from my trailer. Dug a hole to back the trailer into to lower the height, pulled it out, stood it up, then strapped it into the FEL.. Don't think I'll be doing anything heavier that this, it pretty much maxed it out.

I used mine today to move cut cedar/brush/trees and burn it. About 5 hours of seat time today!

I used my MT125 to retrieve my utility trailer from my swampy back yard. I knew my truck would get stuck in the mud so I used a tow strap and wrapped it around the bucket and the front of the trailer. I slowly lifted the bucket and pulled the trailer out. I hope this area of Virginia will dry out soon. I have a ton of projects to do.

I converted my 5' landscape rake to a 10' landscape rake to collect a wider path of debris. Used the tractor to hold it while I worked on it. It pulls well but I need to make a few more touches on it before it's ready for prime time.

I made a video of it here:

What do you all think of my upgrade? I am pulling it with a MT342 HC.

Edit: Why will it not let me make just a regular link instead of this imbedded video?

I would have thought that the tines would be spring steel,
I'd be concerned that welding would pull the strength out of it and let it bend rather then spring.

Are you sure you didn't crack the frame pulling it with the big beast?

LOL, no that’s her old Craftsman, frame intact. She broke her newer one.

But I did note she broke a deck weld.
