When I worked at the newspaper I'd frequently give the machines and computers a friendly rub or pat on the cabinet as I passed by and tell them "Good baby". Now say what you will, and people that I worked with used to laugh at me, but we rarely had problems with the machines we were nice to. While the machine is not alive, has no feelings, etc... we, as humans, let negativity interfere with good judgement. Think about it. Would you rather work in a calm, reasonable work environment, where a machine malfunctions, and the people walk up and say "What's a matter baby?" and calmly diagnose the issue, or one where every time a machine malfunctioned people went ballistic, started cussing and throwing stuff, beating on the machine, etc....?

That kind of behavior breeds mistakes and promotes an unhealthy mental attitude in others around you.

Yeah, he was a bit rough on the UTV, but honestly, I've put my ATV through the paces, and it's held up great. Sometimes you need to push the limits to see it's breaking point, and often I've been surprised at what it can take.

I thank all my equipment after parking it and my truck when getting home after a long day on the road. If they have let me down, they get the silent treatment.

He probably makes $20-$50k per month based on his view counts. It's quite lucrative. I see that a lot of the YouTube channels with 1m+ subscribers buy lots of toys. New trucks, equipment, etc.

Of course they buy lots of toys. It’s all tax deductible.

It mist be kind of a tough spot to be in. There would have to come a time, when You Tube revenue is EASY MONEY, compared to construction which can be a hard, dangerous, dirty, uncomfortable, thankless, way to make a living.

well that kind of explains why AC kept piling on the new parts, more to do, more to video, more to earn...
but at least he's fixing up his old ratty equipment.
wow fix up all your stuff and get to deduct taxes on it because the videoing part is your business.
