Same for some of the delivery drivers for takeout...

I don't have any bad stories to tell at all. Haven't had a problem in a long time. On the other hand I do have some good stories. Most recently we ordered cat supplies from Chewy.com. The stuff arrived the next day (California north coast 5 hours from Sacramento). I checked the shipping history, it originated in South Carolina an hour after I ordered. Also great service from McMaster Carr out of Los Angeles. Stuff arrives the next day usually. Also impressed with Home Depot, another next day or sometimes two day delivery. Much preferable to their in-store experience.

I don't know how McMaster-Carr does it.
Same here....one day shipping from 3 states away.

OK, a good experience for a change.

Quite a few years ago I sold an aircraft wing strut to a guy in B.C., Can and shipped from Montreal.

A strut is a long oval aluminum tube, in the 7 ft range and naturally very light.
I gambled, taped shipping instructions on both sides and sent it as is, UNWRAPPED and un protected via UPS.

My thoughts were that being light and easy to handle it would ride on top of the shipment.

The buyer responded that he received it in perfect condition.

You were lucky!
I ordered a new rear wheel for my Ford 1920, from Reliable Tractor Parts (E-Bay) in Michigan.
It was shipped bare, and arrived with a dented lip.
"Vicki" at customer service, gave me a bunch of grief about replacing it too!

1 good, 1 bad.
Found neighbors packages in a snow drift, no bag... Brought them over, a bit wet but no real damage

Got a call from the Amazon delivery driver checking he could turn around somewhere in my driveway, after the snow yesterday a smart move.
He could have dumped it off like the driver above, but he made the extra effort. Kudos to him!

The multi-conductor cable for my generator came similar. Cable was coiled and had shrink wrap around the coil with the shipping label wrapped under one layer. The center of the whole thing was open, looking like a bicycle tire.

I tried to ship a QA for a kubota, they wouldn’t take it unboxed. The box would put it over the weight limit.
Anyone need a QA for a LA723 loader?

I could be interested, we are getting a LA723 next month for our L3830 and quick attach would be nice.

I was told by one person that there were 2 different QA’s used on the LA723, depends on serial number. I can look that up, it’s been awhile. I’m willing to sell it cheap, it’s taking up space in my barn.

With all of my Amazon deliveries I now receive a text with a picture of the package at the doorstep as soon as delivered.

Seldom order but did buy a Thermostat and message said delivered at or near mailbox...

Looked for 20 minutes and asked a neighbor and nothing... so sent message to seller.

About an hour later the 85 year old widow across the street calls and said I have a package for you... it was just left out front where anyone can pick it up... lots of deliveries go missing these days.

Emailed seller and said all is good...

Smart Thermostats require WiFi to anything but On-Off around a temp... who knew WiFi required to have a weekend schedule or turn on the back light??? Nothing in the literature saying such only more robust features when WiFi enabled.

Maybe we are fortunate around here... never any issue with drivers. Sometimes the package might get diverted for some reason but the deliveries have always been great. Christmas time I like to tip them in some way.

I have commercial stores I control with a Honeywell WiFi thermo and password protected. People don't care if they leave heat or ac on overnight so I control that. I also have it at home and have been guilty of sitting in my recliner instead of getting up to change.

And that should not be allowed. It's fine to allow remote control also, but they should be required to be fully functional in house, without a net connection.

Wow, that's traveling pretty quick around the country....Maybe it'll stop by for a visit soon :-(

My Honeywell WiFi thermostats are fully functional, limited settings via WiFi.

Found this a third way up my drive yesterday, apparently thrown there the day before by UPS. They have never done this before. When I saw it, I thought an empty bag had blown out of my ranger when I took the trash out to the road.

Wife is missing one that USPS says was delivered the 18th.
