Chris, that's wild to watch, when does a boat become a plane?
small town, turns out it was my old partner's son driving the fire truck that goes past my house:
We, me driving mostly, are running old tanker 46, out of station 64,
the 3,000 Gallon Pierce. Not sure which motor, but it moves!!
We are still buying Pierce, except for the 4guys, 4200 gallon tanker
on a Kenworth chassis!! BAD ***!!
So, yes, last Friday morning at 3:16AM, I woke you up!
I have to add here for context.
For many years, Midway Fire Company, in Lahaska, next town to our volunteer fire district with
their own company, well those guys knew they needed a new tanker, none of us have hydrants, so
they bought one of the coolest custom tankers on either a Kenworth or Peterbilt chassis and whatever was the largest possible
motor you could stuff in there. It was their pride and joy and got attention wherever it went.
So it looks like after all these years little New Hope gets to have their own custom high power tanker too.
After I left they got their first ladder truck, almost glad I didn't have to learn how to drive that.
Let's just say the community is super supportive of the local fire companies and they don't have to fund raise any more.
My memories of calling bingo every Wednesday night for seven years not withstanding.
