I am a new sub compact tractor owner. I have a BX with a B2672 Manual Snow Blade. I just recently tried to use the snow blade for the first time, hasn't snowed in over a year. In order to pivot the blade I have to pull the pin out move the blade and put the pin back in. The issue I ran into is the pin is so tight I have to hammer it out and back in. When I looked at it, I found that the holes on the bracket don't line up perfectly which makes the pin stick. Would adjusting the springs on the blade line the holes on the brackets up better? Any other suggestions? I guess I could just get a 1/2 inch pin but would that be too loose? Thanks for any advice.

Do you have a drill , if so clean the holes up?

I don’t know that design and where the springs are as I have the hydraulic version. The right sized reamer it the right tool to improve the miss-alignment if it’s a manufacturing and not an assembly problem. You can do it with a drill bit that’s the same size as your pin, but it might catch and tweak your wrists. Good Luck!

Maybe a round file would work.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll start small, maybe with a file, and go from there.

As time goes on with use, the holes will loosen up.

What size pin is it now? Metric?

Current pin is 5/8". Was thinking of just trying to find a 1/2" pin.

...or just file down a 5/8 pin as it wouldn't take much. As others have said, taking a rat-tail file to the hole or a 5/8 drill would be the 1st choice.
