Honestly, I was shocked at how low the price came in. We had budgeted about 8K, hoping not to hit 10K. You're in Bucks, right? That would explain a lot.

yes, my area is New Hope, so doesn't matter size of house they get $ eyes. Was worse when I lived in Princeton area.
Had a small driveway at that house, got quotes for $5-7K, finally got someone through a friend $1700 and a great job!

Depot called, they were out of one thing (three pak of GFI outlets) I ordered but other than that, it's all ready to be picked up.

Got shower valves ordered. Managed to save $130 bucks by going with a slightly different configuration, still got what we wanted (shower head and hand shower) and ended up a better valve in the bargain (one with integral service stops so you can shutoff the hot and cold supplies right at the valve to change out internals if need be), and a better configuration in that one less hole in the wall is required ...

RS, I have been really impressed by the Rigid tools. At a price that close, the Rigid would be a winner for sure! Just the aspect of the warranty and parts availability would put them ahead.

Yup ... the warranty and parts availability are something to consider AFAIC.

Your comments have caused me to give RIGID another look (for some reason I had kind of written them off a number of years ago ... :confused3:)

Currently have their corded oscillating saw "saved for later" ... (might "need" it to trim the door jamb and trim for tile clearance ...)

Thanks for posting the video of the lights.

Hope the knees feel better soon ...

I’m sure a man of your varied talents could craft an appropriate solution, perhaps using EMT. Remember it is the saw that’s important. Initially, any support can be sufficient and eventually replaced.

Very good point ...

It's sunny and 66°F in St. Louis right now. Not sure what we did to deserve this in December, but I hope we do it again tomorrow.

I find my battery powered one more useful (and used)

Yep... Know how that is. My first job out of college was Princeton. 1980. I grew up on farms in central PA; I was shocked to see that "other" side. Wifey and I still love New Hope as a get-a-way.
