How many tractor hours per year?

Not that it has a lot to do with anything, but most of my vehicles have an engine hour meter. The average speed comes out to about 30 t0 40 mph but closer to 30 mph. So multiplying by 60 is to much, 30 to 40 would be closer.

I agree^^^. On longer trips I see about 50 mph average, with a mix of blacktop, interstates, etc. Pit stops and meals really cut into it.

Except your engine is not running during the meal or pit stop is it? that would not cut into the average for ENGINE hours. It would cut into it for the hours it takes you to get from point a to point b.

You are correct. I got off on average miles driven per hour of trip time, not engine hours. I wander a bit at times. :)

What I’m talking about is engine hours on your vehicle and the odometer reading. I think most people would find they are below 40 mph over the life of a vehicle.

I'm in the almost 100 hours a year category. Mowing, tilling, chipping, mulch transportation, and firewood handling are my main uses. I'm still working full time so weekends are primary times tractor gets used and I've only got 2.5 acres to maintain. But it "sure" beats the wheelbarrow!! PTO & Hydraulics are a lifesaver for me. Since I use my BX mainly for mowing, occasional brush hauling and dirt work, I only put about 50 hours on it the last couple of years. Just enough to be time for an oil change in the fall. If we get a lot of sloppy snow that the blower on the JD 430 doesn't like, then it will get a few more hours.
With the FEL and 3PH, that little BX is the handiest thing I have ever owned.

Bought my LX2610 in late June and I already have 76 hours on it - and I only have two acres.

Im at around 125 a year. I certainly didnt buy mine to show off as one guy suggested. I use mine to mow, bush hog, cut wood, driveway maitency, the occasional job someone needs done, move stone and or material. I bought it bc it just made sense. Why purchase a 2000 dollar ******* from home depot that only cuts the yard when you can get a diesel that will last forever if you take care of it and do multiple jobs. Its a no brainer for me

Received my tractor four years ago, and I have 230 hours on it. Use it for moving fill around the yard, dragging the driveway, brushing the back field for the kids to have a little track to follow, and blowing snow. I clearly don't use it much, but when I do, I love it. I work full time (and then some), have a full time shift working wife, and two kids under 7 years old, so needless to say, I don't have a lot of "free time".

My tractor tops out at 14 MPH!!!

. . . Time is all that matters, if people in vehicles cared more (or if it mattered more) they would track running hours not mileage for maintenance.

Actually our 2014 Jeep diesel takes it one step further (iirc other mfgrs do also). There is a 'countdown' in % of oil life left. If you are doing highway driving it pushes close to 9000 mi between changes. otoh if my wife is just doing short runs in town it can bring the miles down to 5-6000. We never towed with it but I'm pretty sure that would really lower the miles between changes.

I'm at 80 hours total for the two years owning my B2650. I would say year two doubled the usage of year 1, I expect to double usage again next year. Year one was a test of creating and managing a food plot. I mean, my one acre weed patch. Learned a lot. Year two: Expanded the plot. Much better results. Bought a rotary cutter. Broke ground on three more plots end of summer, prepping for next year. Plan to purchase forks next year. Maybe a grapple the year after. All these things will increase my annual usage over time. I have an RTV-x1100 that I use much more, winter use is with a blade on it for plowing. I use my tractor for realistically 5 months of the year, and it sits two hours away from where I live, and I visit it only on weekends. I did get the real beauty of my tractor in October, prepping for a new home build next year. Rocked 200 feet of shoreline with 32 tons of rock. That was fun.

I’ve had my B2650 since 2014. I have approx 1300 hours on it now. That’s about 216 hrs per year. The first year or two was a lot more than it
Is today. I was building a 1000 ft road and a second pole barn back then and was on it quite a bit. Today it’s less time on the B2650 and more on the Bx2380 which I use basically to just cut grass.
