Loader Quicke soft ride

Bought this NOS off eBay for $47. 210psi precharge on one bulb. The other bulb has plastic mounting cover over stamped info. Quicke is a Denmark brand loader manufacturer?
My idea is to use this on a Kubota B26 loader.
Anyone tried this on a scut? Used this brand of accessory?

Quicke is a top notch loader manufacturer, or should I say, the front loader division of Alo, a big Swedish company. Stoll is another great loader manufacturer. Both are definitely on top of the line when it comes to loaders.

That's a very nice score! Why I can't find stuff like that?

Should fit nice on a B26, although just one accumulator might be enough for that tractor.

Smokey dog, just so you feel good, I have a similar soft ride on my M7060. (Quicke x2 loader) Only has one accumulator..... I worked it in on the deal of my tractor/new loader and the ‘soft ride’ was a $1000 touch, spread over 5 years of payments it’s less than a dollar a day!!!
Mine has a ball valve to ‘shut it off’ for precise loader work, as with it on, a set of forks may bounce a bit, usually not a big deal till you try to put a pallet in the back of a pickup bed.....

Where does the accumulator "plumb" into?
Between the valve and lift cylinders? I have this on my SS and love it. It's electrically on/off and I've always thought that just maybe it might be very easy to put a pressure gauge in that line and be able to roughly weigh your load.

I'd love to tell you rusty, but then I'd have to tell you that I own two ALO loaders ect.. ect.. and you would accuse me of telling you that you have to have what "I have", and then you'd call me a sour puss ect. ect.! LOL LOL

Probably it's just missing the shut off valve and maybe a couple fittings or a hose. Still perfectly usable and the valve is not really expensive.

Wasn’t familiar with the Quicke manufacturer. Glad to hear they are a quality product. Thanks for the feedback.

Recently modified a KSR system to fit my M59. Had a lot of lines, double valve and brackets I didn’t use. Tee into the line for right lift cylinder and a ball valve. Really improved the hard shock from the loader.

Planing to do a similar mod on the B26. Being smaller and slower than the M59 not as much need but sure enjoy the improvement in ride. Also should help with component wear.

Is there any precaution when digging and maximizing pressure? I installed a gauge and had as high as 4950psi. Haven’t figured out weighing things yet. See the new MF smart loaders do have that feature.

As safety feature installed the accumulators behind a lower window guard on the M59. Thinking that if installed on the B26 the mounting bracket should also provide some operator guarding/shield? Thinking about those 5000psi accumulators being high potential energy hand grenades.

Do you recall the charge pressure? One or two accumulators? Loader lift capacity?

On my KSR they were pre-charged, 280 and 560psi. 5400# loader.
On the Quicke 210psi. Tag to fit for McCormick L160 6800# loader.

See several of these parts or kits on eBay for older loader models. Probably something new buyers add but used owners rarely upgrade too. Doesn’t take much loader work to appreciate the added benefit for a modest cost and little fabrication work.

I’m now REALLY interested in obtaining one and making it fit my tractor. Are they forgiving as to which loaders they can go on or are they finicky? Are they simply rubber bladders or filled with nitrogen? Help me out here!

I'm wondering if psi/load relationship is "straight line"? *
This would make weighing simple. That is a nice guage, is that part of this KSR system that you have?
I notice the "zero" button and that would be the key for weighing in my thinking.

*I've noticed that loaders are sometimes rated at various stages of lift. Didn't know if this was a safety rating or a mechanical or geometric change throughout the loaders range of motion that varies.

They have a rubber diaphragm inside, filled with nitrogen on one side. From the other side, oil pushes against it. If you look into the front, you should see a metal plate inside. Once they failed, you can push in that metal plate since the nitrogen is gone.

Those accumulators are not brand specific. But sure can be dangerous since they are pressurized.

I love the ride quality of the suspension and can confirm the uncontrolled movement when loading. It's not a big deal but noticeable.

I’m certainly no expert. Only know enough to be dangerous at times. Designing, building, modifying multidisciplinary complex systems was my job. Interesting my farming background was more instrumental in getting my career job than my educational degrees.

The gauge was my novel addition. Does show the significant cushioning effect of a accumulator enhanced hydraulic system.

Using a gauge with a grapple to weigh things probably not the best configuration. Aligning center of gravity of the load to a loader point is the key to consistency. Have more homework to do to figure this out. Round bales of hay or buckets of gravel would be easier to figure weight vs pressure. I don’t need the weight scale feature. Just a curiosity at this point.

The good news is that everyone so far that has used a suspension loader system has good reviews. Worth the cost or trouble to modify? With my limited experience I would say yes also.

Is this a worthwhile option for a small tractor loader? B26? The loader hydraulic pressure is about the same just different volumes. So will one one accumulator bulb work? Making things is part engineering and part wild *** guessing sometimes to see what happens.

You are right. Size matters in this case. I only have one accumulator on a JD H340 loader. There might be different sizes available to fit the specific application.
