Tractor vs. Bulldozer

I had that very machine. And this dump truck with an operating hoist. tonka.jpg

I guess, it's how I got started.

Can稚 open thumbnails but the tonkas are cool!

With foot pedals on my D3 my right hands was free to feather the 6-way blade and the left direction and speed.

With the Deere 350 C my hands have never moved so fast between blade and steering and reverser.

You don't have the D3 anymore?

I once flew a L1011 simulator and those pedals really messed me up. All over the tarmack like a drunk! Talk about over (under???) steer.

Small rudder inputs...same as inputs to the yoke!

So if I'm ever on a plane and they come around asking if anyone has experience flying a plane, do I put my hand up? lol

Probably not a good idea in your case, but with slightly over 30,000 total hours I would feel quite comfortable doing so.
I have been retired for exactly twenty years today, but flying is a bit like riding a bicycle.
You never really forget how.

Until the wires as in fly-by, don't work anymore.

I am kinda old!
A "stick and rudder" type.
LOTS of time with the yoke, but zero time with the fly-by wire.

Sadly true... ran out of projects and too heavy to self move... not a year after selling brother bought a ranch and needed a dozer and thus the 350c

That looked to be a very fine piece of machinery.

Really no issues in 17 years ownership...

A couple hundred a year over the years for things like fluids, battery, one steering brake reline.

Could have been prior use was as track later?
