How many tractor hours per year?

Tomorrow is 1 year. I use it 4-5 days a week clearing. Just turned 200 hours.

I average 80-100 hours per year on the Kubota. Around 8000 miles per year on the BMW motorcycle.

I am about 100 hrs/ year. Firewood processing, snow removal, food plots, and grading are the main tasks. But I only have 20 acres mostly wooded. I also contract out work that makes sense. Last project was extending my range to 200 yards. Would have taken me 3-5 days but the bulldozer was done in 2 hours and cost $250

Peter - retirement can be a real blast. On top of the tractor & bike - - 12K miles on the Taco Wagon( 2018 Ram 2500 Power Wagon). At times it becomes a difficult job to get all those miles/hours on the three vehicles.

Oosik- I have a ways to go for retirement lol...But you right I have the winters off so its like semi retirement.... I have 11k on my 2016 f350...

Good for you, Peter. Well ....... after 18 years of Gov. work in AK, I quit and went into retirement. That was 1982. I had my full of Gov and, in particular, politicians. I'm fortunate that I was financially able to retire in 1982 at the age of 40. Been in retirement since that time and enjoying every minute of it.

I just got my tractor, but for what I will be using it for I anticipate 100 hours or less per year with about 25 hours max during the summer and an average of 75 hours managing snow each year. Can you tell by those hours why I got it? The only reason I use it to mow is that I hate uni-taskers and don't really want it just sitting all summer. There may be occasion to use it for other things, but nothing regular.

125.6 hours per year on my New Holland TC45D in 19 years of ownership.
Most uses revolve around loader work with the material bucket, grapple, or pallet forks.

Tractor has never spent a night in the rain and lives in my heated shop building in the winter time.
I am amused at the number of ‘city bob’ friends who ask me,
“How long ago did ya get that new tractor”
When I tell them it’s old enough to vote the deer in the headlights look is priceless....

My tractor lives in a LARGE unheated carport. I have more than enough problems with mice & chipmunks in this carport stall. If it were heated - might as well put up the "Open House" signs for the rodents. I recently acquired a farm cat and the rodent situation is in serious abeyance.

Peter - I would like to take credit for being able to retire early. It's simply not the case. I tend to spend like a drunken sailor. My wife takes care of all the finances and keeps me in line. She deserves all the credit. My spending was a rather sore subject. Up until the day she showed me that I could retire and we could live quite well.

I don稚 have any problems with rodents but we have 11 neutered barn cats on the job (my wife痴 baby痴) that earn their keep doing rodent patrol. My wife, always looking for deductible expenses questioned our CPA about writing off the cost of cat chow and with the CPA痴 blessing, The rest is history. Haven稚 yet been required to pay withholding on those employees yea.

About 100 hours per year, brush hogging, trail building, driveway maintenance, and any other use we can figure. We also have a UTV on which we have put 250 miles in 2 years. It too is used as a work horse depending on what we are tackling.

50 hours/year - we only mow trails through 12 acres and minimum work needed on mile long driveway (which reminds me, I need to fix some wash areas from a couple of rain storms!)

Rodents aren't a big problem, always had a cat or two that kept them under control.

We own an 18 acre horse farm. We put about 130 hours a year on it. We use the tractor for just about every task imagineable. Just about any task can be made easier by the application of horsepower. First time I was home to help clean stalls wife grabs the wheelbarrow.... say what? We have a tractor for that. Never looked back she uses it all the time for that now.

I suspect the hours will go down because we just bought a zero turn so I expect that to take over a good bit of the mowing work as it is purpose built for doign so.

I live on 8 acres in the city. Roughly 5 acres heavily wooded with dense brush undergrowth and 3 acres wide open. I have 5 kids and a full time (plus some) commitment to my small business. I spend most of my off time with the missus and kiddos and that doesn't leave much time for playing with the tractor. I may be the lowest hourly user on here. My 2016 L3901 had less than 150 hours on it when it signed off last week. I'm replacing it with an MX5400 that'll probably never see more than 100 hours in a year. Maybe when I retire or we buy some land near a lake.

Bought my Yanmar spring of 2011, so it's coming up on 10 years old and has just shy of 2100 hours......so bit over 200hrs/yr.
