Can anybody tell me what these features on the upper outside corner of the FEL bucket are for:
bucket side attach pts.jpg
1. The strap on the side of the bucket (which I have a chain running thru),
2. the hole drilled thru the side, lining up with a threaded stud about 3 inches inboard.

Thanks in advance.

Hmm. There are legs/stands along the underside of the boom arms tho, which the manual talks about in the removal procedure.

Sounds like there are separate legs for the bucket too?

That could be it.
Thanks all for the replies.

Doubt the bracket, holes and that tab with a hole in it were OEM features. Some kind of homebrew add-on. Loader on/off is easy with the factory parking stands, but wants a flat, even surface.

No there was a thread here before that showed a parts list for the loader parking stands I think that was the old style before they changed it......I looked for the thread but could not find it...

I can't see why they are for parking the loader, that would put psi on the couplers all the time and then you couldn't hook back up.

With the straps, stands in place curling the bucket lifts the back end of the loader out of it’s mounts.

Whatever that is on the bucket is not for removing the loader. As mentioned, you use the stands under the lift arms and that's a common Kubota thing. I've seen many of them in use. Your bucket does look like original paint but it's possible it's a modification. It looks more like some auxiliary piece of equipment that attaches to the bucket. I think I have seen those side brackets before but can't recall where or when.

W.A.G.: Mounts for some kind of home made grapple add on?
Are they on both ends of bucket?

Strange: I used them many times to remove the loader on my Kubota!

Most of the time the brackets (legs) get lost or missed placed....

Mine were also used to add a little support to the loader arms when it was in use. Pretty hard to lose them.

The legs mounted on the loader arms.

Nice bucket. Typical of welded on hooks on a material bucket. Not meant for weld on (or bolt on hooks). Have one here in the shop I need to straighten out for a customer and I will remove the hooks when I do and toss them on the scrap bin. I see lots of buckets with 'smiles' in them. All have bucket hooks it seems like.
