LM22 was referring to the video from oldpath....

I see what he's talking about now... my internet is so messed up that I never try to watch the videos.

If I was to guess, I would say he's worried about those gold plated belts he was going to replace. We've all heard SR say that he is still running the originals on his saw.

And I am, here's another thing you probably won't believe, I've never broken a band either, not even one!

Never replaced a bearing on it either.......I wrecked my share of bands though! lol

You guys must saw a LOT more lumber than I do...

$35 isn't horrible either. I see between $50 and $150 all the time, too. Certainly don't have to justify to me, I was just curious. Those are super min/clean totes. Mine was a warehouse that was switching types (different valve or something...). I jumped on it. Wanted more, but wouldn't have gotten that one past the wife. I also have wood pallets that are a few years old now. Some are in rough shape. Should probably get some me more from work......

Too bad you all don't live closer . . . Free is a very good price.

Interesting.. the follower belt on my saw is loose by design, not tight like yours. And I don't have to take the wheels off to change them.. Do you ever clean the inside of that thing? I blow mine out with compressed air after every time I use it.

Nice looking lumber off that Beech!

No compressed air and no cleaning til something falls apart, there isn't even enough ambition to clean all the sawdust or debris up.

My son takes the right to bear arms literally, if anyone ever meets him not a good idea say anything anti 2nd might get a ear full and dont mention HD sells 2x4s.......

After 9 years my track and carriage wheels has wore down some, enough so the wheels was hitting the bolts that hold track on the frame, so son went for quick fix and ground them all down a hair. I called Norwood and ask price for replacement track and wheels, $650.00+S&H, the guy suggested to turn all bolts around so nuts is facing down, that will take a few minutes, a 3/8 bolt every 3" on both sides..........

You actually got to talk to a real person. He knew what he was talking about.
That says a lot about buying a Norwood product.

Yes I was nervous from what others have said, I had to wait maybe 1 minute. When my son put the mill together the manual showed carriage bolts going up so thats what he went by, it is easier that way and a good way to tell when the track and wheels are waring down cause there not much room between wheels and bolts with nuts on top, maybe 3/32.

Does your mill have the felt wipers that put a film of oil where the rollers ride??

I have no issue with the 2nd, just thought he looked a bit armored for sawing beech, maybe if it was something more rare like black walnut or teak...

I'm glad he doesn't think the right to bear arms means wearing a sleeveless t-shirt...
