$35 each, but everyone around here is asking $140 - $150 each, so the road trip was worth it. Plus we met family for lunch near where we picked them up which made it even better.
$35 isn't horrible either. I see between $50 and $150 all the time, too. Certainly don't have to justify to me, I was just curious. Those are super min/clean totes. Mine was a warehouse that was switching types (different valve or something...). I jumped on it. Wanted more, but wouldn't have gotten that one past the wife. I also have wood pallets that are a few years old now. Some are in rough shape. Should probably get some me more from work......

It's hard to believe what you guys are willing to pay for those things, I was given some for free, a guy dropped them off, and as they aren't that useful, I wouldn't take any more... He could get them for free and offered to pass them on to me for same.

Firewood use, was my first thought for them, then after trying them, I realized they are too small and much too much work to use for firewood.

I have scrap steel and scrap aluminum in them now, something I don't put in or take out often...

Not sure what these had in them, might have been soda syrup maybe? I will get a better idea once I start cutting the plastic to make the rain lids. I brought the Mrs. with me for the trip, no hiding it this time! The place was just happy to get rid of them, they were in their way.
The first 4 I got were $20 each and had alcohol in them and were 15 mins from work, just lucky on those.

Well, I don't have a mill to cut my own lumber, so I can't reasonably make my own wood boxes. So these fit the bill for now. I also use wood crates that I got for free that had patio stone shipped in them, but they are starting to rot and fall apart, so these at least last longer, and hold more wood than the wood ones. And the area where I place the totes near the walk out basement door, under a roof is small, so these fit much better than a wide short crate.

I'll take your free ones if you're not *too* far away. I can borrow a 24' trailer.... I love em. Seem like about 0.4 cord. If the wood is super wet/green I can't lift much more.

Like I said, I only accepted a few and they have scrap in them now...so I have none to give away...

The ones I got, came new with glue in the tubs...

Oldpath, much of our land looks like yours. We had a big Yellow Poplar come down a week ago. Had to move it off the driveway/trail and push it around into the woods until we have time to deal with it. Lifted 1600lb sections with the forks to get them out of the way. That was fun! Not!

No one was nearby to take photos an I forgot to stop and do it. So, it didn't happen right? No photo, it didn't happen!

Well dang that stinks, ALL of my trees that fall down are on the edge of a field so I can just drive up with the grapple and pick them up... then they don't get dirty from dragging them all over the place
