After that the two of them were there every morning until we moved from there about a year later.

Wonder what the new owners thought about a pair of squirrels rattling that storm door every morning?

A cousin raised a squirrel from a baby, named him Tarzan. It would eat out of your hand, but would sometimes take a bite out of a finger, too. One time it got loose in the house and absolutely trashed my aunt's kitchen, and from then on out Tarzan was an outside only squirrel...

Good evening! 31 now, was 51 this morning. Wind is blowing, snow was falling earlier. No accumulation.

Fired up the wood burner today for the first time. And very predictably.....the cats have assumed the position. Chloe (the white one) may be pretty much in the same spot until late March. Louie will at least move, all that hair heats him up. Callie will grab whatever spot she c@n, the other 2 are pretty dominant about pole position at the wood burner

I think they have been looking forward to this for a couple of weeks.

Cut some of the stock piled logs yesterday. Back and neck were really sore last night. Threw a chain away yesterday, it would loose its edge very quickly. Figured something was wrong, fortunately I had a new one available. Still went through 2 chains cutting yesterday. Trailer was definitely heavy coming down the hill.

Everyone stay safe out there

They look comfy. I took one of my indoor cats outside today and held it on my lap. It enjoyed being outside.

Prayers for Ron's son.

Good evening. Was a beautiful day outside. Everything dried nicely.

So, Randy would be proud of me.... I switched hats today, became an upholsterer..... The wifey has a sitting / lounging bench that was in dire need of new foam. We had ordered some dense foam and some memory foam. It arrived yesterday, and wifey was anxious to get the foam installed. So, pulled about a thousand staples around the existing frame and got the fabric off in one piece! Woo Hoo! ( I did not want to have to buy another lounger).

Used the bandsaw to cut the 3" dense foam, then the 2" memory foam. We did not use the cheaply made original frame, so cut a new frame base from some ply. Got the foam all lined up, the upholstery all centered and pulled evenly. I used my pneumatic stapler and got it all secured to the base. Mounted it back on to the furniture base frame and....

WaaLaa! All done! Wifey is very happy! It is very comfortable, far better than the original. I only thought of taking one picture....

Wow, did you put all new springs too?

Enjoy GD wedding next weekend Mostly

???

Thanks for all the prayers for my son. His finger is so much better, in fact, when I got the GT80 fired up, and told him he couldn't ride it until his finger is well, he went and soaked it in warm and cold baths. Today, he got to ride around in first gear. He did good, the first time ever riding a motorbike. I believe I need to put a smaller pilot jet in it. We went down near the coast to a friend's birthday party and ate boiled shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and he had corn on the cob too.

Ron, hope the docs will soon diagnose and treat what has gone wrong for your son.

Good morning. The sun is on a loosing battle this morning, it manages to shine a few rays of promise, only to be squeezed out by ever wetter clouds.

Covid infection rate has been increasing far faster than the official medical statistician's expected in England. We are all going into a 4 week lockdown again from Thursday, pubs and restaurants must close, with only essential shops being allowed to stay open.

You missed nothing. Like toilet paper, dry weather turned out to be in serious short supply this summer, the few days we had got used up on other more pressing jobs, I am still sluiceless . The ground around the wetland has been far too soft since to contemplate bringing in concrete with my little tractor. At least the temporary crash barrier is holding at the moment, not quite what I intended, but hopefully good enough for a few wading birds and ducks to use for a short vacation.
This is like your u-joint, one of those jobs that will get done one day, just not sure when.

Sorry about your lockdown Eric. I like RNG's link below. Maybe you could pen a novel called "Sluiceless in Shropshire" and make it a romantic comedy?

Not sure this Facebook link will work for everyone, but here's some good Covid-19 news for a change...

Yep.

Mostly, good to hear your stacking the miles. Hope you had a nice wedding trip.

Ron nice photo.

Sodamo, the moon was very orange here, yesterday and tonight.

Our new barncat is not spoiled. She still loves plain ole dry Meow Mix. She's funny, when pouring it in her bowl out of the bag, she'll reach a paw into the bag to try and scrape a bit more out.

Windy here at O dark 40.

   / Good morning!!!! #121,229
good Monday morning all.
chilly and windy this morning, wind advisory up with gusts to 45mph today. That should help the
leaves come down.
Am off to cardiologist this morning, then some food shopping and trip to hardware store.

After getting the guest bedroom bed built yesterday, quite a job, though well made metal bed, realized there was no door
to that room...sigh. So need to take office door off and rehang it on that room.
Plan to get some door hardware this morning. First thing I'll do is carefully measure it to make sure door is same size.

never did get weather station put up, rained constantly yesterday and we were too busy putting down area rugs. Wore us all out wearing masks,
plus I goofed on sizes and one pad had to be cut down on three sides. Other pad was supposed to be exact fit, and wasn't, so that had to be cut too.
Today need to run vacuum as there is a fine layer of lint over everything. Wool rugs from Amazon/Safavieh were very heavy and I liked the colors once we had them down.
They also cost about a third of what comparable rugs were in local furniture stores

Looking forward to voting tomorrow and getting election behind us. Like most of us, tired of hearing constant harangue every time I turn on tv. She raised your taxes six times, he's a self serving
bum, she wants to defund the police, etc etc etc. And most of the time, what is said is just plain untrue and taken totally out of context. One reason I hardly ever watch tv, tune in to the nightly news and can't get away from all the noise. So I retreat to the National Geographic, PBS and History channels...

spend most of my viewing time on Youtube, recently watching videos of soldiers coming home early from overseas and surprising their wives and kids. Very heartwarming.
Hope everyone is on the mend and doing well. Sending positive thoughts to Jay and Peg and hope they are ok.

Good morning, after another all night soaking we could be in for a much "drier" day at last, with the chance of some blue sky in between showers. Should give me chance to cut out a few more damaged bricks.

However I went fishing at the open house craft center and got lucky. The trophy fish will be displayed in the built-in shelves around the tv wall.

Don, angler fish are remarkable and not just for their light bulbs.
Did you hear how their strange love life may give an insight into alternative antibody protection ? Anglerfish Physically Fuse to Their Mates, And We Finally Know How That's Possible

Mostly, you needed that faster processor to keep up with your peddling ? Have you ever thought of slowing down and enjoying the scenery - it must all be a passing blur at the moment :)
