Starting to look like your back-hoe is double jointed compared to the below diagram, might be in the unusual category...........

Yes, well I said before it will be a tripple boom style. Many excavators use this kind of boom, especially "city" types. This way you get maximum reach and height, but you can also dig in tight places, near walls etc.

Many............ Maybe over there, but over here It took me 10 minutes just to find a picture of a triple boom back hoe and wasn't even on a tractor, this back hoe build will be interesting when all done next year epically if it works. No pressure but the whole world is watching...

Indeed it is unusual to find a triple boom on a TLB, but on excavators in the 12-20 ton range it is quite a popular option. Cat offers it up to the 323, the company i work for builds them for Cat 330. On bigger machines the middle arm cylinders are mounted below the boom, because they will penetrate on boom weight alone, and lifting it is a bigger challenge (with the stronger bottom end of the cylinder)

Here is one on a beefed up Cat 390, now weighing 140 ton

Considering my experience with the previous rk-525 backhoe, I decided to make tripple boom because I think it will give the most out of the machine. It will be able to dig close to the tractor, as far as possible and as high as possible. You said you never saw this type of boom on a tlb, ok so let's do it now for the first time. ;) Let's break the limits. I plan to make a log splitter clamp for it, so this reach and height will come in handy when lifting logs...

Very interesting! And, yes the reinforcement looks good. I missed it in the earlier photos. I've never seen a triple boom, I'll be watching your build.

Those are big machine seem to work good in tight quarters where travel is limited. When BFreaky does get his built it might be the only one on a tractor in the world, I cant find one on a tractor anywhere...........

Definitely will be the first one on a tractor for sure. They don't even make it for backhoes either. Mostly excavators.

Check out Mecalac and Wacker Neuson exacavators. Both have tiple boom setups on a much smaller scale that what Renze shown.
