I’ve done the same thing, opened the rear window and pushed it into the cab. Usually nothing bigger than a 2x4 and I live 3 miles from the lumber yard on back roads.

I’ve done it. If I had that many boards longer than 10 feet I’d probably take my trailer but I do that with pipe and trim all the time.

i thought the same thing. If i walked in and found the pressure treated i needed i would be stuffing it into my truck too.

Wow. Somebody actually using the full capability of their pickup as a utility vehicle.

The problem often times in not the vehicle being used to its full capability. It’s doing so in a careless manner. No flags on load extending past end of vehicle. Lack of proper tie downs or often times none at all. Weight of load and vehicle being within suspension and braking capability. Making sure the load can not interfere with the driver or other occupants. Most of us know this already. Thus the thread full of idiots that do not or do not care.

Front end of this load was setting on the dash when they went by. No flag and no straps.
