I saw an old "boat-mobile" of a car a while back with a window AC unit mounted in the passenger side rear window, with a big honking Briggs generator running in the trunk. Driving through the city with his trunk lid open so the generator could breathe. I was behind him at a stop light, and could hear that generator roaring over the stereo in my car with the windows up. Looked like the window unit was mainly being held in place with Gorilla tape. You just can't make this stuff up.......these people are out there! Lol!

I once saw a farmer with a BIG bend in the middle bare back john deere, he had a roof mounted window AC unit in it and a Honda generator mounted on the back to run it...

And as seen on the make it yourself sub-forum, YES this is something I cobbled together, and it did work. Nothing like a generator and an electric fan to make a ditch mower!

In 104+ degree temps, that sure would be nice! He needs to use a 5K BTU AC though. That one looks like an 8 or 10K.

I had thought about doing something similar, but went and got a cab tractor instead. :thumbsup:

I bet there isn't 5 lbs of down pressure on those front wheels. Go up an incline and that thing would tip over backward. Let alone a 5 degree side slope.
