Can't wait to see the 1st fully built Super Heavy launch
Amazing by how much it will dwarf the Saturn V's 7.6 million pounds of thrust.
Most sources have been listing Starship Super Heavy launch thrust as 16 million lb ft. using 31 of the new Raptor engines
Being able to launch more than 100 metric tons into orbit in a single mission will be a game changer.

Yeah it's going to take some serious power to transport humans and their accessories to Mars. Also going to take some serious money which is the underlying purpose of Starlink.

I was in that business and I’m so thankful the private sector has taken the reigns!
We did a tiny RF section of the guidance system for the Saturn and Titan ll launch vehicles. The real expensive section!
My first visit to NASA was either wallops island or Langley, don’t remember. This was maybe 1982?
I met a scientist that was one of the last German scientist that came here after wwll. I’d say his name but I don’t remember.
The 2 things I won’t forget is....1. The good doctor was on what they call ROAD. Retired on active duty, a federal employee.
2.....The other thing, which might be more important, he said when he joined NASA appx 75% of the budget was for research, 25% for admin. By 1982 this had filp flopped, 75% admin.
Another case of......please let the private sector do it, we must shrink the govt payrolls!
Either way, private or public sector, we are gonna get stroked but at least with the private sector we have some recourse! I read Elon Musk is notorious for firing people For under performing. That don’t happen in govt, very little downside for not performing in govt
Pardon me but, my customers that were doing the actually engineering on the titan used to say, compared to the titan ll, the space shuttle was a popcorn fart! Hee hee he....mines bigger than yours!

I spent 52 years working at KSC, end of Gemini to the SpaceX Heavy. Everytime of of those idiots started believing the BS something went wrong and often enough someone (else) suffered or died.
