Sure looks like it fell off the rack to me. Notice the strap UNDER the load? Seems it may have went slack and then the load shifted. Still no excuse if they did not stop to correct.

The linked news article said a strap broke and the load shifted and the driver didn't notice. Still no excuse.

Yep, the article said a strap broke and the load shifted. But it said the driver didn't notice it shifted. :duh:

Maybe not wrong but this guy sure is proud of his new John Deere. Perhaps it's just the trucks and trailers are Bigger in Texas!

A few years ago a TBN member went to pick up a JD ride-on toy tractor for his son. The tike wanted to haul it home "Just like Daddy's tractor", so they hooked up the tandem axle and hauled it home. I don't remember who it was, but he posted a pic here of hauling his son's toy home.

If you search through the previous 1200+ pages you will find a photo of a Tonka toy dump truck, the only object on the deck of a flatbed semi-trailer. The toy is secured with a 4" wide strap. The remarks said the driver was cited for having only one strap

When I did heavy equipment hauling I had one of those Tonkas for MT hauls. I also haul my little Jhon Deere on my tilt deck to mow for a family member. It's easier to load on that then to get it in the pickup.

He had to know. It would have been loud. He just kept going.

A farmer I worked for years ago told of having the bar of his sickle bar mower come unfastened while going through town one day. He wiped out several car doors and didn't even know it until somebody flagged him down and told him.

I don't know... it still looks like it has too much tong weight.

I routinely haul my Grasshopper on my 14k equipment trailer although I’ll probably get a smaller trailer to do it. The problem is it’s 78” wide and not many small trailers will fit it. I hauled it 80 miles like this once. I had to go pickup my backhoe and I needed to mow when I got there. For the return trip I picked up the mower with forks and set it in the bed of the truck.
