JD X749 Dying after 30-45 minutes

Hope it helps. When I first had my X748 I ran it out of fuel.. Needed dealer assistance to get it restarted. Only failure I've had in 10 years was a bad fuel solenoid

darn, It made so much sense with it being the relay cutting out the hold in voltage only temporarily. Maybe take a solid look at the fuse block that relay is attached to. It may be cracked.

Can you figure out a way to run it with the fuel stop solenoid removed from the machine. Just thinking out loud but is there a spring in the injection pump that returns that fuel stop plunger to the run position.

Yea, we discussed that earlier by plugging the hole (oil will leak out) and inserting a probe to turn the engine off. I was thinking of just rewiring it directly without going through the system, but if there is a problem in the injector pump the problem will still exist.
I called JD today to find if there is a diagnostic port. They said no, but that there is a way they turn the ignition off & on 3 times and check for a blinking light to give a code. I asked if I can come in and try it, but there is a 2 week backlog with no appointments, first come first serve. How's that for running a business?
