Then I think about our weather patterns, especially Southern Missouri near jk96.

I'm actually NW Missouri. Buchanan County.

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you were South of me quite a ways. I'm in Harrison County. :)

Mark, your large variance is what I expected in your area.

Eddie, your large number really surprises me initially. Then I think about our weather patterns, especially Southern Missouri near jk96, the rains generally come from your area. I'm at the North end of the State so I get most of mine from the NW.

Twice last year we got very large rains, first was 9" in April, second was 11" in September. Destroys our hilly roads. Last Winter we got tracking snow 26 times. Total accumulation was 29". Largest single snow was 5".

Wish we could get a little more snow in Texas but not stay on the ground more than a day or two.

We had snow on the ground most of the Winter in small amounts. That was only because it snowed so many times.

An old Almanac Tale is that whatever calendar date you get your first tracking snow on is how many you'll get for the entire Winter. We got our first snow on 28 October. Ended with 26 snows. Pretty close. :)

I sure do not miss the snowfall we used to get as a child, and young adult.

With my 1000 foot driveway, I would be snowed in half the winter if we still got them

Finally back to this project today but only for a couple of hours. I did manage to get three of the largest trees on the ground. Calling for storms the next three days.

I'm hoping the dam isn't topped today. Flash flood warnings with some reports of over 2 inches of rain so far and and still coming down strong.
