Don, you left the "r" out of timers, so I added it when I couldn't figure out what a hair timer was. Of course I've done the same kind of thing many, many times.

That would be hard to figure out, thanks for catching that.

The 103rd birthday party has been canceled by the assisted living center. Their county just had a spike in covid cases and they will not cooperate and sound like they do not want visitors on the property - not even outside with lots of distancing - not even in the door way of the lobby with everyone outside. Maybe we need a peaceful protest on the street.

Sad. Hope they figure out how to have birthday party for her.

Trimer, is way above my pay grade.

Trimmer would have worked better. I must be getting use to bad spelling. Just read right over it. 🤠

5 hours in chemo chair, I'm bushed, slight sinus headache, they said that was normal.
Good news is my white blood count is really high, which means the Neutropenic diet restrictions they gave me are moot, only
for folks with low white blood counts. Plus also good for resisting coronovirus and anything else. Looks like my bone marrow
is working just fine.

guy at rv dealer out today, will talk with him tomorrow. Now have six inquiries from RV trader, responded to them all, mostly tire kickers I'm sure.
This is peak time, dealer said last two weeks were best on record. Great way to socially distance and go someplace...

my lunch was two packs of peanut butter crackers, really looking forward to dinner. I've gained a couple of pounds back, 196 now, down from 216.
Can really feel difference not carrying around that 20 pound sack of potatoes...

Bird, I can just see you out at 4am mowing your lawn, that little mower must have quite the headlights on it, or your yard lights are really bright. At least it's cooler then.

I have a small cordless Wahl hair trimmer but how do you trim your own hair in the back? I'm terrible using a hand mirror, and the barber/beauty shop they supposedly had here is shut down due to covid. So I'm slowly growing a pony tail, not what I'm used to...am sure if I try to cut it I will do a real hack job and it will look worse. As soon as I get my driving privileges back, going to find an open barber shop. A hair cut and a prime rib dinner, not too much to ask for, right? ;)

Harvard and Princeton announce plans to bring back students for the fall semester - CNN

first article I've seen on this. Must be huge challenge for colleges, all schools, day care, etc.
has to affect revenue and profitability/viability in some cases everywhere.
Yet stock market is still strong...and I wonder why.

I continue to make my investments more conservative, 55/45 bonds/equity now, hard to believe
this economic impact isn't going to catch up to the market at some point. Particularly if a second wave of illness shows up,
maybe thanks to all those fools packed in the beaches this past weekend...

Corrected, again. I read right over it twice.

Today is our one year anniversary, that girl has been my rock through all my health issues I love her dearly.

Went to see wealth management guy today, Ellen has to roll hers out of the Perdue/Wells Fargo account after 40 years, and I have to invest the lot sale proceeds. Haven’t done much of this in years, my brain wanted to mush up. I heard terms I didn’t know existed. I’d just happily left mine alone, but I’m told that was imprudent I believe was the term. LOL

I have plugin Wahl clipper that came with a small battery powered trimmer. I can do a decent job, but Ellen is much better. Of course I just use the smallest guard and buzz it.

Went today and bought a fig bush to plant, also have a Mimosa.

Have a good evening guys.

Touched 100 again briefly at about 1:45. I’m sitting on the deck and it’s still 90 with a little breeze. Heavy storms north of us but doesn’t look good for any rain here.

Another 90s day in the hopper. At least the t-storms have been so close and so high that they give us some shade occasionally, otherwise, no rain since 11 days ago.

BEF, nice bobcat photo...I have Secret spot, too.

Kyle, I like your approach on video games for your boy.

RS, macaroni salad...yum, haven't had that in a long while.

Roy, congrats on that .300 BLK. Do you have a suppressor that fits?

Mostly, that was a pretty cool parade you guys had.

Took a little 50 mile trip to deliver birthday greetings early this morning. Drove part of the way back on a road (about 5 miles) that has forever been a dirt road...not anymore. I guess a sign of the times...all the dirt roads I occasionally travel have now been paved. Miles of them where nobody lived, so there was no need to pave.

I'll miss Charlie Daniels.

Happy Anniversary, Randy and Ellen!

yes, it would be easy if my hair looked like that. Since I'm going bald on top, I leave it full on sides and back and then just trim the bottom.
It's getting the bottom even that worries me. With thinning hair from chemo, cutting it shorter is recommended.
thanks Don.

Randy, congratulations on anniversary.

and for advice not requested...at our age, the number one factor in portfolio performance is not what mutual funds you pick but the mix of them, the ratio
of stocks to bonds. You can still get good long term yields with an equal balance of both. I hope your investment advisor went over this carefully with you.
Investing is like a six lane interstate highway, the fast lane, the middle lane and the slow lane. The faster you go, the harder you crash. In your 50's and 60's you need to be in the middle lane, say a 60/40 equity/bond mix. At 70, time to slow down. I still average 8 percent in the slow lane...which allows me to draw 5-6 percent safely every year. I'd rather earn a little less than lose a third of my money, like in 2008.

You can't just leave it alone, your needs and risk tolerance really do change as you get older. Portfolio analysis was my favorite part of financial planning, I didn't want to manage money for folks, which is why I never earned a lot of money at it, but thoroughly enjoyed evaluating how well client's brokers were doing. Most clients had money invested in multiple places, and had zero idea what it looked like "aggregated", which is what you have to do by putting it all in one place to analyze. I highly recommend Morningstar's 200 dollar software package (annual fee) as it allows you to enter all your holdings in their portfolio manager, from multiple accounts, and then see what you really own. I also think Vanguard offers the best value now, and they will hold non Vanguard funds also for you.

good luck with your fig bush.

Less than 2 hours to finish with flail.

Not so good at PO, delivery was late. No way girl would get it sorted by 11am closing. Hopefully tomorrow. At least I got mail out.

No, no suppressor yet...not for the .300 BLK. I'll pick up an optic first...a suppressor is going to cost $800-$1200, plus the tax stamp ($200). Probably be several months before I can do that...

Yep, I'll miss Ol' Charlie too. Great singer, great Patriot

Didn't get to do much today. Planned out a work table for the hobby shack, took some measurements, and made a materials list. Then went to the local lumber yard.... took 1 1/2 hours to get one 24", and one 12" wide piece of particle board shelving. That took what seemed to be a half hour. The kids in the warehouse building kept getting 16" shelving... no one had a tape measure... not that you couldn't look at a board and know if it was 2' wide....

I needed 1, yes only 1 ---2x4x8'.... not one to be had... they had to get the guy who operates the saw to get a 16' to cut in half.... he kept bringing banana boards.... even though I kept telling him that I needed it really straight. That took another 1/2 hour.... OK, just 2 -- 1x2x8' needed...Great..back to the kids nope.. only 16' , so they had to find the saw guy again...

The last time 2 times I went there, I had paid for materials at the counter, only to find when I went out to the yard, they didn't have what I paid for. They cancel the invoice, put a credit back on the card, then bill you again for the replacement items.... drives me nuts how they do that!

I was so frustrated by the time I got home, I was not about to start cutting stuff up. I would surely make a mis-cut and have to go back for more materials.

I decided to stay inside in the A/C and take a "rehab" day. I will get a fresh start tomorrow.
