I goofed. There's 7 pallets on there. I have another picture where I can see there's 2 pallets at the front, then one pallet, then two and two in the last row.

I don't know how you can tell the weight of the pallets, unless just guessing from the perceived trailer sag.

Those appear to be landscape bricks of some sort. Based on the pallets of landscape block I've moved tells me they are above 2k. My blocks also had more space between them than those do. My tractor can lift 2k (barely), but couldn't lift the pallet. My CTL was barely able to lift the pallet (not stable, though). Strangely my CTL had the same weight lift capacity on paper as my tractor.

Just my rough guess.

I pickup pallets of that stuff where they make it. The full pallets are 3000 to 3500 pounds. It sucks moving them to the front of the trailer with a pallet Jack. I dump the tractor air ride to make it slightly down hill. If you get too many of them at once you need to single the first 3 of they will overload the tractor drive axles. They are heavy. And that are 3 X 4 foot pallets so they look like they are side by side on there. They would fit like that. So 6000 to 7000 pounds for 4 feet of deck.

If you're weight numbers are more correct than mine, that's 21k-24k on that trailer :shocked:

Why wouldn't he have at least blocked up the beavertail and moved the load back a few feet? Maybe he's obsessed about having enough tongue weight. Watched too many of those fish tailing, improperly loaded traeiler videos.

Since the SUV has 1000 pound tongue weight on the receiver max, One good bump and it could break off. Even heavy duty pick ups only have 1500 pound dead weight rated receivers. Or the tongue could bend. He would have been better off to put the single on the front. But the axles are overloaded anyway so there is no good way. Other than to make 2 trips. 3 if the trailer has 5 lug axles.

My experience says a pallet of bricks or pavers 1-1.5' tall is north of 1,500lbs. A full pallet is probably 3-4k lbs or so.

Yeah but the murderer murdered. If this guy, lost a pallet, killing a carload of children, kept going and drove home, THAT would be WRONG! lol

I'll agree with that statement although I am sure we are on differant pages here.
