Does tractor cab help with the noise level?

Our Mahindra 5010 cab was a blessing, I have allergy's and it put a stop to the watery eyes.
Now I mow with the radio and AC going all the time, and yes its a lot quieter inside the cab. Money well spent..

My LS cab is very quiet and after 10 years of ownership, everything still works and looks new. It is very tolerant of limbs brushing the sides and tops. Only thing that happens is the mirrors get knocked back against the door but no damage. It does make it difficult to open the doors with them folded backward. Much better for a limb to brush the cab than to brush me.

I have considered removing the mirrors as I rarely use them but seem to fold them in with limbs regularly.

Night & day difference. But don稚 forget that part of being a true professional operator of equipment is that you must listen for noises that indicate something isn稚 working right. One could turn up the music in a cab to the point where they do not hear a baler or mower making a noise that if ignored, could be an expensive catastrophe.

I will add that with my noncab tractor I felt like I was one with the tractor. Not so much with the cabbed tractor. I think part of it is the cab and part is just adjusting to the tractor. My last tractor I had for 12 years and I could feel and/or hear when something was off.

I was afraid of getting a cab, because I live in the woods. I asked the dealer about how many panes of glass he has had to replace, he said "1, because the owner ran into a gate with the door open. These cabs are durable." and he wasnt lying. I have hit all sorts of limbs with my cab, and still nothing has broken. Some scratches here and there, but its a working tractor. Scratches are to be expected.

I did take the mirrors off, after getting trapped in the cab, using a screw driver to push the mirror away from the door, I realized that I never use the mirrors and they are more of an inconvenience than anything. Dont even miss them.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd still get a cab. Totally worth the extra $$

Not sure about the noise level today but I just chopped 10 acres of ripe but weedy hay. Was 87 outside, 68 inside. Actually had to turn it down, got too cold.
