I'm sitting at my desk, thinking about how blessed my life and family is. I've always had the drive to wake up everyday wanting to do something good/beneficial/meaningful for me or others around me.
I wish more people would think that way.

I know, it isn't my fault that the website drops zeros when posting a link.

But you can take an extra step to go back and edit the post to add the zeros back in. I'm not complaining. I'm just sayin'.

"You wake to the clock, you go to work to the clock, you clock in to the clock, you clock out to the clock, you come home to the clock, you eat to the clock, you drink to the clock, you go to bed to the clock, you get up to the clock, you go back to work to the clock... You do that for forty years of your life and you retire — what do they [bleeping] give you? A clock!"

-Dave Allen

I didn't get a clock. I stopped working, and they stopped paying me. I got a free lunch on my last day, and I left a few hours early.

Why is there a shortage of zeros?

There must be. TBN won't include them in the title of links. I have plenty, so I help out when I can.

I tried just as I have done in the past. It didn’t work.
The zero is still there, it just doesn’t show. I even tried 100 without success... which probably would have paunched the link anyways.

Watched some old bits by Richard Pryor and George Carlin last night. Miss those old comics and Rodney D., Robin Williams. Youtube is a great place to pull up old comic routines.

I like to pull up the old Johnny Carson shows. We could use comics like that now, everybody is too serious all the time. Can you imagine Don Rickles letting loose today on some millennial? OMG...

Pay to see that!

Carlin/Pryor were on JC on the same night... I watched that episode last night as well. Watch some of the Dean Martin roasts... those are hillarious. Then there is Foster Brooks, Jonathan Winters, Bob Newhart (one side telephone conversations... too funny, his timing was perfect).

At every years end AMC runs a compilation of all those in the entertainment industry that has died that year. Seems that more and more of the good ones are going on. The real tragedy is that very few of the new so called talent are qualified to take their place.

Yet the viewers who are watching those new are thinking the same thing about the older movies.
To paraphrase Dickens;
Now is the best of times, it's the worst of times. It's the age of foolishness, it's the age of wisdom. It's the season of Light, it's the season of Darkness. n short, the present period, is so far like the past that some of its noisiest authorities insist on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.

I loved Carlins take on people, their behavior and belief systems. If he were alive today, he might well be speechless.

I got hurt at work, returned to work, someone at work hurt me again, while at work. Never returned to work... yet

I'm sorry to hear that. Your signature text sounds depressing to me. I hope you are working something out to find enjoyment in today.
