It's time to go kill the scorpions. Since my daughter's bite, I've been going out most every night an hour past sundown. Tally for each night so far: 6, 15, 15, 28...

64 scorpions in 4 nights do you think you might be infested?

Definitely seeing a trend...

Just got back in...Best/worst night ever....77 Primarily in the yard, but I see them walking towards the light of the house. Just like junebugs fly to the light. So probably 50+ were in the grass, the rest on the underpinning. Good thing they fluoresce.

I did find out that Raid Ant & Roach killer works quite effectively if sprayed directly on them. So I'm in a dilemma. I don't want to spray the yard because of my free ranging chickens. Apparently the scorpions come out when the chickens roost.

You need some night shift chickens.

Good evening all. 54F for the start, sunny, light breeze. Wind was moderate with brick gusts, sky variable cloudiness and high temp 80F. Was supposed to go shopping during senior hours this morning, but woke up late. Putter till bike ride, after lunch napped.
No new cases here, Montague up 1 to 6, Grayson has no new cases.
Billy that was the first pizza since the start of anti-virus measures, had to go in. Mexican place has drive through window. Lodge has rigged a station at the door to keep people from going in.
Bill would it make sense to use trailer?
Eric playing with welder to keep wife happy is the stuff dreams are made of :)
Drew sorry about rn, glad you can do this local, hope epidural goes well.
Thomas forgot about black flies, deet works on mosquitoes
Ron, most of what you chip, I burn in insert, wood in pic looks to be kindling
Ted sorry to hear about your sleep issues. Mowing other people's equipment does not tend to make one popular.
Buckeye, you sound busy, still working from home?
David, hate to hear about Sophie's eye
Randy that is forecast here tomorrow.
Don is that firewise project?
David good news
Ted thanks for link.
prayers for all
stay safe and healthy

Unplanned trip to town was interesting. Was a bit surprised that Dr office seemed as busy as usual, just masks and spacing. I waited outside in car and wife texted just before going into Dr as she wanted me to hear what he said. He didn’t find any problems other than the conjunctivitus and prescribed 2 types drops until her return next week but to call if no improvement in next few days. He was interesting in giving us other updates, such as no hospitalized CV cases on our island. Thinks the hospital restrictions might be eased in a week or so. Said ER is pretty much a ghost town as many people aren’t seeking treatments (to their detriment). Only medical movement between islands is strictly emergency only.

Of course I took advantage and went to brewery. Only open Tue-Fri 12-4PM. Gate was closed so I left, but went back. Gate was unlocked, but had to call to get attention. Success.

Baskin Robbins seemed to have a constant flow of take out customers. We enjoyed ours.

Needed a CO2 replacement from Mathesons. Stand outside, call, complete transaction on phone with credit card. Receipt brought out and put on table. Take receipt and empty cylinder around corner, drop off empty, pick up refill. Successful, but not something I’d want to have to do regularly.

E0 gas Price: 3.2390/g. I filled Ridgeline.

Quick trip to grocery turned into over $160. Not missing anything we needed but came home with way more snacks than normally.

It was good to get home.

Good morning all.
Up early trying to eat something, no food after 6am for 1pm procedure.
Hard to eat when not hungry.

RV still a problem, leaked again when I got home, but I did more analysis and pretty much figured it's bad waterpump one way valve that lets incoming water
run through the pump back into freshwater tank which overflows. Going back Friday to get a new electric pump put in. Though under warranty, I'll eat this as trip to dealer costs almost 90 bucks in fuel (maybe less now.) Regular gas at 1.59 now. I'm going to call the fuel oil dealer and see if they can fill up my farm diesel tank now.

County Covid count up to 14, went up one last night. Was at thirteen for six days, now one more. There is such low people density here, mostly due to farming, not a lot of interaction, and downtown is simply dead. Hope they open us up in next few weeks. My hair is getting way too long, need a haircut badly.

David, hope Sophie recovers quickly.

Have gotten something like 14,000 hits on my farm listing, not one phone call. Until they lift stay at home, do not expect any change to that.
Lot of work keeping farm "up" and expensive because I have to hire help for all of it.
