I gotta tell you all something - IT FELT WONDERFUL. Stress and guilt-free. Heck, I didn't even worry about toilet paper today.

Guess what my goal is for tomorrow, yep more of the same.

Ah, are we not doing phrasing?

I mean, you did at least use toilet paper today, right?

No toilet paper for me! I just ran the water hose through the bathroom window and made myself a redneck bidet!

A Heart Attack? No, It Was the Coronavirus DNyuz

"The study, led by Dr. Zhibing Lu at Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University, found that 20 percent of patients hospitalized with Covid-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus, had some evidence of heart damage."

Clearly having COVID-19 is more than just a bad cold.

It has been reported that maybe the virus can reemerge in people that have recovered. If this proves to be true, COVID-19 is one tough nut and could be very bad for the human race.

The only reason they get locked is while in the process of pruning, a couple guys get into it and post faster than it can get pruned. So we lock it down and start pruning. By the time the pruning is done, someone has already started the next one. So at that point, it's pointless to re-open the thread. Make sense? ;)

How about a warning to repeat offenders and boot them?

Today I took (4) naps - you heard me right FOUR NAPS.
I realized my entire life I was obsessed and driven to get something done, accomplish somethings, each day. I don't know what drove me, maybe it was guilt as a man as head of the family to always perform by doing something. Maybe I didn't want my wife to think I'm lazy or letter her down. Maybe it goes back farther by being productive for my parents? Who knows.

What this Coronavirus has done was forcing me to "shelter in place". At first, I fought it, by still doing things around the house, but that soon stopped as there was nothing else to do.

Now what? Take a nap, wake up eat play with the dog take a nap, repeat again and again.

So why was I napping so much today, because there is no guilt? I am forced to do nothing and I an accommodating the Governor by sheltering in place.

My answer for everything is "I can't the Governor says I need to stay home"

The really bad thing about doing nothing is you can't ever take a break! Unless you take a break from nothing and do something!

Plus, despite the appearance that we're always here, we sleep and work and all that other human stuff, too. :)
Moss - you are trashing my concepts of moderators!
I thought you were machines and only paused during power outage!

Darn! That must be cool in the winter.

The people I know who do that NEVER worry about breaks.

It's like when your retired and you are your own boss, the worker can never please the boss.

This is a good thing to learn before we work ourselves into the ground. Not sure why we think we have to push push push when the end results are about the same. :)

I'm sure this national or world reset will change the psyche of many... things ingrained are hard to change but life changing events are profound.

I am not the same person today as I was back when I was 100% self employed... Going the corporate route has come with many positives but it also meant a profound change...

Never seen Dad so happy as the day I told him I was accepting an unsolicited job offer to work for the local hospital... as it came with benefits and a steady paycheck... as the family on both sides have always been farmers or small business except for Mom an RN.

This morning as I "Slept In" not having to get up at 3:30 am I was thinking for the first time there are projects I have that will probably never get done because priorities change... not that it is a bad thing... does it really matter if the next Model A Ford or Mustang Convertible is restored or the new shop breaks ground?

Plenty of more pressing things to do... looking after family and keeping the Hospital functioning.

Don't know what to expect when April rents are due... tenants have already contacted me saying they have been let go... Some of the properties managed were sold by seniors in assisted living... they need every dollar to pay for their monthly expenses... which also includes things like water, taxes, etc. for their rentals.

I fear with the media coverage the consensus is the Governor enacted a Rent Holiday while not realizing rent not paid is still rent owed... in fact San Francisco supervisors have been quite vocal demanded a rent holiday because people can still be evicted at a later time for unpaid rent...

The company my brother works for has furloughed 900 employees working in hospitality... of those that remain anyone earning more than 35k will have a 50% pay reduction on compensation in excess of 35k to start...

The rules are being written/rewritten and no one really knows the total impact.
