I can see some here are trying to convince us all that nothing is safe, no mask, no protocol, not the word of one with 10 years experience in epidemiology vs a handful of years on a tractor forum. ("Oh, me .. me .. me" .. waving hand frantically. :))

It also looks like the 'latest chart/graph' again predicts 100% contagion by 2021.

I'm not dead yet, you?
You're assuming that because we don't list our credentials at the top of a post, we must not have anything germane or relevant to add to the conversation. Most of us have day jobs outside of tractor driving that may be quite relevant to the topic at hand.

Well, if it's going to be 100% by next year, why don't we just go back to things as normal and accept the illness and deaths as inevitable, instead of crippling ourselves and the resources we have to continue after this thing has passed.

Well that's two of us who wonder the same thing, honestly.

You're assuming I care where you come from or what you have, also assuming what I do and don't have or must do with my time, and or that I singled you out. ("Are You Lonesome Tonight?") Yeah I had two months worth of groceries and TP. I don't take responsibility for anyone's plight or preparedness.

I guess you have a conscience, but if you're looking for a spat I'm not good at that stuff and hope we can get back together someday, if only for old times' sake. I really want it to work this time. I'm old enough to die if I get Covid 19 (70, COPD & 50 yrs I did smoke) and truly appreciate your compassion and your blessing. Thank you so much, Dear.

 . . I told my kids (they worry about us) that we are fine . . . I had enough shots inoculations to pickle me years ago . . . :drink:

Me too.

Awhile back we were talking about this and I couldn't remember the series of shots I received prior to DS. I remember now, Anthrax.

COVID-19: How Aviation is Fighting for Survival - YouTube
worrisome times for the world's airlines
all these people out of work, I'm waiting for headlines on that
Instead of oxygen masks coming out of the ceiling, maybe they need optional
full head protection with piped in air.

Since it's likely we will have more of these viruses show up, airlines need to rethink how they cram people in there.
Lot of folks affected within that six foot radius.

I read a while back that one of the contributing factors towards unhealthy air in planes is that the more outside super cold air they use to flush through the cabin,
the more fuel they have to burn to keep the cabin warm. Very cold way up there. So, pass less air through, save money. And the nasties stick around longer.
So there may be an immediate fix that may improve safety in the future if they crank up the cfm of fresh air coming in.
I'm curious to see where things end up, given the number of people that have flown with the Coronavirus it seems that a lot more flight crews should be getting sick if it's as infectious as it's claimed...

Just ran the numbers on the world wide epidemic. There was a 66% increase in the number of cases of corona virus since Tuesday of last week. If that trend were to continue, it would take less than 20 weeks for it to spread to the entire population of the planet. Good luck all.
