As of 5 PM tomorrow Illinois is going into a shelter at home order, all businesses that are non essential most close until at least April 7. This shuts down my lawnmower repair business and leaves me without any revenue coming in to pay the company bills, or personal income to pay my household bills.

Mechanics here are open and because of the catastrophic wild fires the State of California has the tree crews going non stop along the medians...

I became a grandparent this afternoon! My son and wife delivered a little girl in Bend Oregon. We are debating on whether to make the drive and visit and practice SDS (Safe Distance Strategies) as soon as they are discharged. No one other than my son allowed in the hospital. What a glorious day and a great feeling that rushed over me today! Between my wife and I this makes 4 granddaughters. Still waiting for a boy.

We are debating on whether to make the drive and visit and practice SDS (Safe Distance Strategies) as soon as they are discharged. No one other than my son allowed in the hospital. What a glorious day and a great feeling that rushed over me today! Between my wife and I this makes 4 granddaughters. Still waiting for a boy.

It's a little early for people to be dying. Word is it takes about 9 weeks for the disease to progress that far. The people dying now were infected around the end of January, which means they traveled abroad or live in a port city.

I do know one guy who has tested positive. He's a musician in Seattle, and has only been having symptoms for about a week.

I was at the co-op today to pick up feed, and over half the farmers in there were wearing masks and nobody was in close contact.

Yep and no toll evasion citation but using photo enforcement the idea is toll invoices will arrive by mail.

The county jails are also releasing due to Corona...

I expect the plan is taxes or inflation to follow.

I'm supposed to fly back to Dallas from Phoenix in the morning. I'm expecting mass chaos at the airport. I'm envisioning people rolling around in hermetically sealed, human sized hamster balls.

Ohio Governor Mike Dewine announces all Senior Centers and Adult Daycares to be shut down starting on Monday.

Shutting down Child Daycares is under consideration and may soon follow.

I'll be farming as usual so long as I haven't caught it. Should be easy not catching it, least for now. Out here it's remote and no people except me, the wife and the animals and I farm alone. Fingers crossed on that one. I'm still amazed just how fast it's brought this country to it's knees. Just amazing.

The analysis after this is all said and done, in terms of unpacking what accounts for the variations in infection spread and the ultimate toll it takes will be interesting.

Hopefully some lessons learned.

The 11PM news just announced Ohio reported its first COVID-19 death earlier today, also the medicine for a clinical trial was delivered to the Cleveland Clinic earlier.

Yep... this is what happened here... the help I had with Mom and the Senior Center she enjoyed twice a week gave me a little respite to get needed things done...

I also save trips to the market so she could go... it was something she really enjoyed... getting out and going along for the ride.

Totally doesn't comprehend the situation now... and this is after 45 years as a RN.

Reduced hours at work are coming none to soon... this way I can get home sooner.

They say memory care givers can't do it all but that is what you do when you are it.

I'm a single parent of my 86 year old Mom... and Mom keeps asking when can she go home which was planned this May... it is not going to happen and she can't accept that... strange what the mind remembers and forgets.
