.... As I turned around, I saw him walking along the outside of the coop, around the corner and right past me (about a foot away), and he crawled back under the corner of the barn. That was waaaaay closer than I've ever wanted to be to a live skunk.
,,,.

Yeah, eyesight seems to not be good. (That makes for both me and the skunks) LOL. But their hearing is super.

Glad you didn't do something like break your hip, and hope the pain decreases from here on out until it's gone, Jay. When I get hurt like that, the pain usually peaks two days after the injury. Keeping with the season, a few fingers of Jamison or Tillamore Dew can help.

RNG- I was very careful with the self check while down, and I did have a moment visualizing how I would get back being dragged by Brogen. He helped me in last year when I fell and fractured my patella. I am feeling more aches&pains in some other areas this AM, but some numbing libations will be on order for Happy Hour.

Mike- Nice pics. Thanks for sharing.

This is a long shot, but it could be something as simple as air in the hydraulic system. First, check to see that the hydraulic oil level is correct, then have him cycle the loader arm and bucket hydraulic cylinders over the full range a few times and see if that helps. :crossfingers:

It would also be good idea, after cycling hydraulics, to but the bucket on the ground, shut down the tractor, cycle the loader joystick in all directions, then uncouple and recouple all the QD's on the loader. Then try again.

If no change, check for equal extension of both lift cylinders, then check both curl cylinders.

The neighbor was very excited to get his new tractor off the trailer. I helped unsecured it and unload the PHD parts, then he had the honors of backing it off the trailer. It was quite obvious there was something wrong with the loader.... the bucket on the left side was drooping about an inch. Seems like one loader arm is lower than the other.

No obvious damage or scratches anywhere, mounts were tight. Some pics were taken and a call made to the dealer.... needless to say, his excitement turned into despair. The dealer mentioned that there were a few of his model loader that had misaligned welds on the cross tube.... that would explain the problem for sure. He is just waiting to hear back from the dealer...

Hopefully he won’t have too much difficulty getting it fixed / issue resolved. It was technically a used machine, but only 38 hours in a year and a half. It looks brand new. Still has 7 months of warranty left on the loader, so should be covered.

What model LS did he buy?

He might also check for proper and equal inflation in front tires?

Then see if the out of level changes .. as bucket is curled?

Good afternoon. Looks like it could rain later. 50 and nice out.

For the loader, lots of good suggestions, here is an odd one. Set the cutting edge parallel with a flat surface and lower the bucket to the ground. Shut the tractor off. Loosen all bolts that retain the loader to the tractor. You may need a jack to raise the low side. It may actually level the bucket. Everything may be in spec, just normal tolerances can stack up. It may just need tweaked.

Working at home has me around new co-workers. Louie has been hard at it, his productivity is through the roof today

Stay safe out there

After making sure that both tires on each axle have the same tire pressure,
do as suggested above. Quite often the bolts will not be tightened properly.
