Good morning!!!!

A mostly sunny 29ºF morning low temperature; a sunny 37ºF presently; and I anticipate a sunny PM with high temperature ~50ºF. The NWS has backed off on their estimate of tomorrow’s early morning snow before it changes over to rain. A beautiful day to appreciate and “shelter in place” (like almost always). If Mr. Butt Cheek approves maybe I’’ putter around outside maybe, just maybe, start pruning the fruit trees. I am not seeing a lot of bud swelling around here yet, but the earliest of the migrating bird are starting to show up.

We now have a fully working dishwasher. Both repair techs stated that the problem stemmed from too much added detergent to which Wifey vehemently denied after either left.

Last night’s corn beef and cabbage came out great in the pressure cooker.

Thanks for the +’s regarding my poor old @r$e. I did not know that the maximus gluteus was our strongest muscle; based on its feedback it is still unhappy. I am happy that I can still gimp around the place. I think that I’ll now be wearing crampons around here till even the bleached out scat piles dissolve.

I have been playing around with some online food pickup/delivery services to see which work the best for us and so far not many excepting the booze connection.

Buppies- Thanks for the dirt work pictures.

Billy- Your cinema front sign pic is saddening and RNG’s is maddening. I hope someone added some sand to the TP.

Ted- I am sorry to read about Max. I hope he recovers quickly.

I hope that everyone is having a manageable day and stays healthy.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Good morning! 68˚F cloudy.
Yesterday morning there were no cars at Walgreens in the morning and then in the afternoon the parking lot was overfilled. I wondered about that till I got home and looked and the neighborhood forum. Someone reported an afternoon shipment of TP to Walgreens. TP can be had if you get up early, stand a hour and a half in line to get into the store and are in the first wave at HEB grocery store. After a few hours it's gone again. I hope this is a lesson for stores and they limit items sooner next time. All pain relievers have vanished off the shelves also. I still can't figure out why the shortage of onions.

Another exposure day as I have to now supply Mom with groceries.
Kyle why doesn't Giddings deliver groceries?
I can only guess Don. These Germans are tight with their purse strings? Also, they don't like to depend on anyone outside their family.
I was mentally trying to figure out what it would cost to shop and deliver groceries, if someone was to try it out.
.55 cents a mile, plus $20/ hour. HEB offers home delivery if you live nearby. For only about $10 IIRC. What a bargain. Their profit lies in the grocery markup.

Sorry about your doggie LS.

The neighbor was very excited to get his new tractor off the trailer. I helped unsecured it and unload the PHD parts, then he had the honors of backing it off the trailer. It was quite obvious there was something wrong with the loader.... the bucket on the left side was drooping about an inch. Seems like one loader arm is lower than the other.

No obvious damage or scratches anywhere, mounts were tight. Some pics were taken and a call made to the dealer.... needless to say, his excitement turned into despair. The dealer mentioned that there were a few of his model loader that had misaligned welds on the cross tube.... that would explain the problem for sure. He is just waiting to hear back from the dealer...

Hopefully he won’t have too much difficulty getting it fixed / issue resolved. It was technically a used machine, but only 38 hours in a year and a half. It looks brand new. Still has 7 months of warranty left on the loader, so should be covered.

Ted- I am sorry to read about your neighbor's tractor. Like the dealership did not notice a misaligned FEL? I hope your neighbor's issue is resolved quickly.

IMO, as the global population continues to climb, the climate changes, and available resources dwindle things will only get worse. I hope that the C-19 virus becomes a global wakeup call.

Well, our DIL informed us this morning that one of her coworkers was confirmed + with Covid19. Her last contact with her was about 4 weeks ago. Luckily, our DIL transferred out of that office about 3 weeks ago. That office is now closed and the personal are now on 14 day home quarantine. It is getting a little close for comfort.....

She will be working from home starting next week, but we have been watching our granddaughter for the past 3 days since they closed the schools. This may be great for quarantine procedures, but is it really? It seems “a day late and a dollar short” situation. By time the illness is confirmed, a lot of people could have been exposed already without even knowing.... it truly is scary stuff.

RNG has it right.... live alone, away from everybody, and be self sufficient.....

Everyone have a great day! I am off for a few errands.... need to pay the water bill, stop at the hardware store on the way back, stop at the PO to mail a box. No crowds expected at those places....

I still can't figure out why the shortage of onions.

I was in our nearest Walmart yesterday and got the one and only sweet onion that they had. But this morning, I diced that whole onion to put it in my chili tomorrow, then I went back to Walmart this morning and they had restocked with plenty of onion.
