Well, the pallet fork deal was a no go.... the forks that one of his guys had pointed out to me were NOT the ones he was selling for $150 ..... the owner of the place took me up to his parts graveyard. The forks he was trying to sell were off of some crazy contraption... they would have to be cut apart then rewelded to even make them in a usable configuration. Oh well.... sure he had a set of SSQA forks... at $900. I do not need forks that bad....

On a good note, I did get the 2 cutting edges for $100. Definitely some heavy duty ones... almost 200 lbs each. I will use them for a home built land plane. There was a guy on Craigslist selling 6ft ones that weigh half as much for over $200 each. I guess I made out ok.

Randy, that concert sounds like it will be a nice revival of the British groups. I listened (still do) to all of them. Have fun and enjoy!

Randy I see that they put on their website as of today they are not canceling due to the coronavirus concerns.
Last week Austin said they were not canceling the South by Southwest festival which drew over 400,000 people last year but today they canceled it due to the virus.

Good evening all. 38G for the start, clear sky and calm wind. Wind was light to moderate, Sky stayed clear and high temp was 65F. Slow start again today, went to town to pick up stepdaughter's mower, got a haircut, and came home. Bike ride after lunch, really nice day for it. Did get a nap today, walked the dog. Stepdaughter pick up her dog so we are back dogless for a few days :)
David nice crew on the roof.
Eric no idea how or why Bradford pears are named. Most people grow them because of the fast growth and spring bloom, but they are also very invasive. In Missouri the are crowding out the flowering dogwoods near the populated areas and spreading.
Ok Bill I get it, no breath holding :D
Ron, hopefully the Covid-19 protect mode will help with influenza also.
Buppies I did the same when disco came out Eric Clapton and Stevie Windwood fan as well.
Randy whay was rehab cancelled and sorry to hear about you wife's biopsy, hope removal is soon.
Don understand where you are coning from. Unless you have a reaction to gluten, why avoid it? :confused3: One question, what happen to flaxseed when you buy it ground.
Bird you devil:laughing:
RNG think of the upper body workout from shoveling :D
Rick nice job.
Ted, all you need is 1 cedar tree close by, they really put off the pollen. Sorry about your parts place.
Rick thanks for the article and reminder.
Randy have fun with the music
prayers for all

Stayed a rather wet day, prohibiting my hoped for progress.
Did take advantage and go to town for errands and lunch with wife.
Fedex showed up shortly after getting home, delivering my new Apple Watch. Been getting it set up.
Did a couple of ECGs, no problems noted, heart beating 71bpm average.

LS .. get on Titan's email list and they'll let you know when pallet forks are on sale.

Mine are 48" rated at 4000# and I have a pair of their 72" extensions for larger, lighter lifts.

Good morning, Overcast this morning, though at least the clouds look fairly benign. A bit of gravel spreading first for me today, while the Iseki's tyres are reasonably clean.

Had another session with my audiologist for what I thought would be my final hearing aid sign off. It seems she hasn't finished with me yet, tweaking the frequency/spacial settings yet again, with another appointment for April (no charge for these, an unquantified number of follow ups are in with the original price, dependant only on how each individual is progressing). The aids automatically adjust each day towards a target response that she programs in, but doing it manually also gives the opportunity to take it in bigger steps. A manual adjustment of 1db or 2db to some frequencies is enough to cause many sounds to become a bit "tinny" or echoey for a few days until my brain learns to readjust once more. I hadn't appreciated these things required as much effort to get the best out of them.

Not sure why rehab was cancelled. Last week they had signs up regarding flu, but it could of been as simple as HVAC problems.
As for the concert, I’ll go if it stays on schedule.

Poured first cup of coffee. 20° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 45° with sunny skies. Weather forecast yesterday lived up to all the hype. Lots of wind, snow, rain, cold and a little sun. Stayed in most of the day. Grocery shopping today. Then maybe a walk in the sun.

Rick, thanks for the Alamo write up.
I have similar fork setup for my Kubota. Except forks are 36" and extensions are 60".

LS, I had cedar tree in my yard when I moved here. There was 2 apple trees about 20' away. Those trees never had apples until I cut the cedar down. Next year trees were loaded with apple. The following year they both died. Lots of problems caused by cedars. They do make good fence post.

David, is roof a shrink type or is it pulled tight?

Mostly, good point on protect for Covid-19. Should help with flu.

RNG, waiting on Drone report. :D

Jay, thanks for the link.

Randy, hope you enjoyed the event.

Bird, hope you did not miss any of the clocks. Did you get the cars.

Good Morning All.

In honor of the anniversary, I plan to read some more chapters in this book today, and watch the movie Alamo (1960, John Wayne) that I recorded a few months ago. It too windy to do much of the work I had planned outside, anyway.

good morning all. Mixed clouds today and up to mid 50's. Hispanic helper says he's better, but still can't come.
Don't know if he's gone to doc so better he stay away...

I hope to work on organizing my garage today and carefully take a lot of stuff to dump afterwards.

am wondering if my trip to PA next week is smart, lots of restaurant meals, lots of public exposure.

Sometime around noon I will go out and move some more snow piles. I think. Not much else planned for today.

Have a safe day all

Your trip may not be smart, but you will kick yourself in the but IF you don't go and something unforeseen happens.

Bird, hope you did not miss any of the clocks. Did you get the cars.

Yep, Ron, I got the car. And the two really amazing things were (1) I remembered how to do it without getting the manual out :cool2:, and (2) when I picked up Margaret, the very instant that she got into the car, she asked if I had already reset the clocks.

40 going to 51, should get sunny and stay extremely windy again today...it is March for sure.

Randy, hope you get to go to that dinner theater...sounds like a good show. Hope Ellen's back is okay.

Decided to follow in Rick and Buppies' footprints yesterday and cut some cedars and brush. Put the grapple back on and tiller as counterweight and cut 7 grapple loads worth. Fought the wind and a few sprinkles until finally had some company visit that rescued me. One of the cedars has a trunk diameter of about 20 inches, so that one was delimbed as high as I could safely reach. It stays to live another day.

Talking to my down-the-road neighbor, found out he had skunks under one of his shed...saw 4 little ones come out one day...now I think I know where mine might have came from. He is down to 24 alpacas, down from 60 a few years ago...nothing to do with skunks, of course.
