Need to pour first cup of coffee. 25ー with some clouds this morning. Heading 29ー with cloudy skies. Got about 4" of fluffy snow over the last 2 days. Going to get some seat time cleaning drive and dog walk area. Then do weekly grocery shopping. May make a trip up to Rural King to help get rid of a little cabin fever. Then back to conserve energy.
So many bird pictures lately hard to pick one.

Lots of rain for some. Be careful out there. Do not cross flooded area's.

Eric, here is a snow picture.

RNG, hope you are finally getting all the parts for your solar project. Are you still getting CEL's on van?

Randy, using a dead critter or veggies? :confused2:

Drew, when I have stopped at RV service places they were asking $125/hr. That does not mean that you will get a qualified mechanic/tech working on you RV. I have found that mobile techs are the best for something like an appliance or your lights. May not be one near your area though.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

Rotten tomatoes or apples were good too. LOL

Little over 2” so far, with one more line of storms to go. Southeast wind gusting near 30 with gusts over 50 later.

Good morning! 38˚F it warmed up overnight. After the dusting of snow melted and evaporated under the clear skies and robust winds yesterday I finished scalping the lawn. Ended up having to empty the grass catcher 20 times and changed out the battery 4 times. Today three garbage truck come by the house: regular trash, recyclable trash and yard waste.

Looking forward to next year, I was hopping Turbotax came in a flash drive because some of the new Apple laptops do not have a CD.

Get a usb cd drive

Think I drove thru a small tornado, or close to one. Car was really getting pushed around with wind and sideways rain. Then I got on Interstate and traffic stopped, get to front and there’s a row of trees down beside the road and 2 trees down into the middle lane , across the road tops were broken from trees.
Very heavy rain at times.

And still stealth cars, white cars in a rainstorm and no lights. Morons

I have an apple Ipad here that Apple obsoleted overnight with an update. Thanks Apple...NOT!

I don't like to pay much for computing. I buy Dell refurbished or clearance models and save big $$$. One 14 year old Dell is still running, on Vista at that. Don't use it for much other than browsing and listening to music.

Off today. My wife and I are going on a date!

hawkeye, hope whatever comes from your job's decision is something that works out for you and your company.

You guys hunker down in the weather up north.

PJS, new toys can keep you up later than normal....have fun.

Prayers for those in need.

Nice looking generator RNG. Remind me of the particulars?

Cummins RS22. Propane fired, 22 kW, four cylinder, iron block, water cooled.

Apparently Cummins is making one last batch of 40, then they'll be gone. The RS25 uses the same engine, but puts out 25 kW, for a few thousand dollars more...

Looking forward to next year, I was hopping Turbotax came in a flash drive because some of the new Apple laptops do not have a CD.

The last couple of years I have purchased Turbo Tax online and it was just a download version.
My connection was so poor last year I restarted the download when I went to bed and finished the install when I got up.

Well I'm thinking I made the right decision on my snow plowing.
Cleaned up a bit by the house yesterday and left the rest to soak up the rain.
Where I cleaned it up it's pure ice with water on it.
In the driveway with the snow it's still passable, drove down and back up last night to breakup the crust for my wife,
and she made it up with no problems. We both made it out with no issues this morning after I threw some ice melt and grit
out where I had cleaned it up so we could walk.
Been raining most of the morning at 30F it's warmed up to 32F and still raining at this time.
Supposed to switch over to snow around 1 or 2 this afternoon with 3 - 5 inches,
guess I start plowing around 3 or 4 see what happens.

A good day for all stay well.

RNG, congrats on getting generator delivered, didn't see and travel stickers on it. Nice pics. Sounds like the new engine will work out really well.

Both of the narrow ends had multiple stickers saying "Oroville" in large letters. Yet the FedEx facility serving my area is in Chico.:confused2::confused3: I think part of the problem in the tracking system is that there were actually two pallets in the shipment, and I don't think they traveled together. Still doesn't explain how, in 24 hours, the generator left Seattle, sailed right through Chico, got to Sacramento, and then came back to Chico, though. The other pallet/shipment was for an acoustic enclosure, which was delivered at the same time.

The real heart stopping moment came when the driver literally heaved the pallet jack and generator onto the lift gate. He let the front wheel by the handle roll over the edge, counting on friction to stop it while the gate was still five feet in the air. And had the forward end of the pallet jack not cleared the back of the box trailer, he wouldn't have been able to lower the gate.
