On my ls I don't have that plug on the right side. What model is your tractor?

I am asking because I have access to a new holland dealer scan tool. Ls and new holland use different plugs and when I asked the ls dealer that told me there is a different plug thay thay use and not the obd2. Thay said obd2 was just thare because it was mandatory.

New Holland and LS do use different plugs as you noted but they both do the same thing. OBD2 and a Deutsch round for LS and New Holland respectively. The round is what is used across the CNH product line so using the round keeps it simple The LS dealership is feeding you a line IMO.

Now the question comes in as to which New Holland software that you have. If you are talking about the the electronic service tech software, I don't believe that will work. Pretty sure the NH techs use LS interface and software on the Boomer and Workmaster series but I'm trying to go from memory.

I get the impression he's want to tweak/tune/adjust some kind of setting for engine performance or emissions and is hoping he doesn't end up with a giant yard ornament.

That would be putting a great deal of trust in pirated software.

Software is not pirated. Have family that's works at a new holland dealer in the service department. He's not machanicly inclined so he has no idea how to use it. But he can bring it home on weekends. I'm an auto tech so I understand obd2 but the adapter it has is a 9 pin and ls has obd2 but now that I know it is just can bus but with a different connector I'm just going to make up an adapter.

I may bump it up to 40 or 45 lol I'm more interested in deleting the dpf.....

Why stop there? If you're going to void the warranty you may as well go for broke. Course the XR31xx is missing some items for beyond 40hp but being a mechanic you probably already know what's missing. Regarding the DPF delete, probably not going to happen with stock software.

May check with a few CNH mechanics on here cause I'm pretty sure CNH will know what that laptop did.

I only have 1 year of warranty left. I probably wont bump up the hp anyway because I'm happy with it th way it is. I only want to explore the possibilities of a dpf delete just in case I have issues with it later on.

What year is your tractor? I thought 2017 and newer LS's came with 2 year bumper to bumper and an additional 4 years limited powertrain for 6 years of coverage.

Haven't really seen DPF issues on these tractors so I wouldn't worry much about it. The EGR now there is a discussion.

I will update this thread. I have had issues with my dpf at 16 hours it was replaced then again at 67 hours and thay did an update and now have 700 hours on it and I believe it's starting to be an issue again. I have one of the faulty ones that I plan to gut and try to use for the dpf delete.

Any updates? I'm asking because my 2015 LS XR4046H with 260 hours has a dpf issue specifically the burner injectors which run 2k for just 2 injectors.
