Comparison kubota/ kioti specs and experience

I am stull curious if Kioti would ever have gotten to where they are if they had chosen their "own" color?

The early Kioti tractors were actually Kubota tractors. Kioti bought the obsolete tooling and fixtures from Kubota and started churning out tractors that were actually older discontinued Kubota's Of course then Kubota sued Kioti for Trade Dress Infringement (just like Fiat Chrysler is suing Mahindra over the Roxor) but in Kubota's case, they won and Kioti had to settle for an undisclosed sum.

When that happened, Kubota changed their shade of orange from the original Orange 1 to the present Orange 2. Kioti's are still painted in the original Orange 1 so I suspect that to was part of the trade Dress settlement as well.

They both fade to Mary Kay pink after a while anyway.....:laughing:

I would have looked at them a lot sooner if they were not orange. I drove by a local dealer for over 10 years & saw orange tractors on their lot. It was not until this spring that I found out they were not Kubota.
I have not been at all disappointed in my Kiota CK3510SE. Frame size of it is comparable to the 3000 series of John Deere tractors. The loader weight lift & lift height on the Kioti CK10 series were much higher than comparable John Deeres.

I think Kubota's numbers are more honest. Sure, kioti/LS/Mahindra LOADERS may handle x lbs, but will the rest of the machine? Will the back tires stay on the ground with that load? Kubota also has higher lift heights than most of the others, which plays into that max weight at max height. This comes from an LS owner.

With the proper rear ballast, a user can take full advantage of the max loader specs.

Unless you are an astute tractor spotter, at five hundred feet you usually can't tell a Kubota from a Kioti. I wonder if Kubota has regrets on allowing this. I don't understand how it's possible for JD to have the patent on their green and yellow color scheme.

I saw where Ohio State was trying to trade mark the word "the" as in "The Ohio State". With work "the" being said more like "theeeee". I guess the way JD paints their tractors with green with yellow accents is kind of unique, where painting a tractor orange is kind of hard to trade mark.

Guess I am. I can spot a Kioti cab unit from a distance, same with a Kubby because the cabs are different. Not so much with an open station and as far as JD green, if you have enough money and good lawyers, anything is possible.

Finally, JD green fades just like Kubota Kioti orange does. I have a couple pieces of JD equipment too.
