Our carrot fly produces the dark eaten spots like you have. I have to grow a particular carrot variety from the UK that is carrot fly resistant.
The guy in the alley wearing the trenchcoat said they were carrott seeds.
Everything I grew from seeds DIED upon transferring to the garden. It was a coolish windy day and I knew nothing about getting plants used to being outdoors. What a bunch of work! These few carrotts did survive, kind of.
Are those a "Heritage" variety? They look a lot like what I raised for a couple of years... the name escapes me.We have been having an extra cool summer in our always cool climate. So I am pleased to have my medium sized tomatoes start to produce.
