Wow !! are you sure your tractor is powerful enough to push that thing full of snow. That is a big snow pusher.

44 hp gross, 42 net, four cylinder. It does my hills in high gear too :)
I love this mule as it has load sense & linked throttle to HST.
I will not know until winter if I have enough traction...using back blade and retaining wall bricks for rear ballast 800#.
Prime says the snow pusher only weighs 625# but it looks heavier..lol

That pusher looks HUGE! The PO sure took good care of that tractor.

2012 with 187 hrs on it when I purchased. :)

I guess we will have to wait till winter to know for sure. Let us know then how it performs

I think the tractor will push it. The weight is probably similar to my 8' Fisher plow setup. I have grooved the tires, and it makes a difference in traction. This is the second tractor with R4's that I've grooved. I haven't had a real pusher, but did add wings to the loader on my L3200. It worked OK.

The one drawback was that it would only move snow in pretty much a straight line. For short runs it was fine. I do parking lots at the church and the thing would fill and spill before getting to the end of the lot if I took wide bites.

With the angling plow, I can drive the length of the lot casting snow to the side and clear the whole lot working from one side to the other. For driveways I can get close to the garage doors and backdrag away from them.

I push with a hydrostatic 3038e, 6ft snow pusher. Set the rubber blade 3/8" above the shoes and it catches no gravel, dream to use.

No problem on stock R4's running 16 psi in the rears, and 750lbs 3pt Ballast.

Running it that high off the surface, and never scraping do you run into the problem of having such a thick base of snow that in the spring it turns into a solid sheet of ice when things start warming up during the day and freezing at night?

No not at all, the push weighs about 800lbs, it usually cuts trough right through to the bottom. In the spring i have about 1" of hardpack over the grass. As soon as the spring sun hits it, it disappears pretty quick.

I get zero gravel in my snow piles.

But also i live in Alberta Canada, Global warming has not come here yet.

Yeah, you're lucky up there, you get a real winter and can establish a thin plow base (I happen to like snow and cold, which not everyone agrees with). I'm in a part of VA where we can get decent snow falls, but there will almost always be a thaw within a week. Sometimes the thaw happens the very next day!
