Learned yesterday that the linkage for a new sway bar on the van wasn't made correctly, but the vendor is on vacation until the 16th. Then took a long time to get 12 socket head cap screws installed and torqued, working over head and fighting bellows that wouldn't let the two parts align. Wore me out and had me looking forward to a trip to town to run errands. Long time spent before that on the phone with UPS and a shipper, trying to get a package held for pickup instead of delivered. UPS on each end told both the shipper and me that the other party was the only one that could change the arrangement, in other words their guidance was contradictory. One lady told me to use the UPS web site, but it kept freezing up, on two different computers, with different browsers, and even on the iPhone. Fastest ship in the shipping business? How 'bout biggest joke in the shipping business. At this point I'm not sure when I'll ever see that package...

More time under the van this morning getting the front diff aligned, then probably switch off to something else if that goes smoothly. Or just go into siesta mode, depending on the temps...:confused3:

Good Morning. It's 78° and 95% humidity. Forecast is one more day of way hot at 104°. It's only supposed to be high 90's from Wednesday on for a few days. Maybe .... some rain at the end of the week. Yes please ...... may I have some more Sir?

I finished mowing, around the house yesterday so just have to walk around with the weed eater a bit this morning.

I'll probably take the big tractor out and cut some areas at the back of the ranch that haven't been cut since last spring. There's a couple of long dead post oak trees that will find their way to a burn pile as well. We now have seven very large burn piles awaiting end of burn bans.

Eric ..... rolling?

RNG ... I'm wondering how you're version of "rolling" would work on grass burrs? Maybe a burlap suit?

My primary PT lady is a student, about to graduate. She lives and attends school on easterm shore and will work there once she graduates. I get 2 pretty young ladies for PT.

Slept in this morning. Was in deep sleep when breakfast came. Started meds for nerve pain. It makes you sleepy.

PT (personnal torture) starts in 1 hr

butterfly in mouth wasn't too bad, he knows to numb half my head.
Raced home to help landscapers with tree work, he smiled and said all done.
All by himself he took the big Massey out, changed implements, put on the man cage, lifted a helper up with pole saw
and got down the hanging branch, dumped it in burn pile and put equipment back as found. :thumbsup:
He has a heavy equipment background so "operating" is a natural for him.

I have had intermittent low back pain since last October (self diagnosed, over weight, out of shape, sits at desk in front of computer 8-10 hrs per day, need to lose weight, exercise more, move around more, avoid sitting for long periods, etc), but a doctor visit last month resulted in discussions about chiropractor and massage, got referral for massage and had my first massage yesterday.. painful deep massage, felt better after, slept pretty well.. have another scheduled and will schedule more..

67°F and rain again this morning, going up to 88° today.

Thunder storms this morning arrived with a bang around 3am. Never did get back to sleep after that. Some friends in my home town of Granite City were posting yesterday about the ridiculous flooding in town. Water has always been an issue there, for whatever reasons. One friend posted a screen shot he took from a local TV station and their rainfall totals for that storm. Granite got over 9 inches in just a few hours. Not many drain systems are going to handle that well. Most of that heavy stuff missed us just to the north.


Sounds like good steady progress, BEF. Keep it up.
